I am on a mission to digitize all my (personally recorded) VHS tapes, and upload them here for posterity. Plus, I need to get rid of all these damn VHS tapes so my wife stops nagging me to clean out my closet.

I watched the frugal gourmet back in the 70s. When I was going through a very difficult time in my life. I watched him every weekend. And so looked forward to it. I am saddened by the allegations and i'm sorry for those who were affected I am saddened by the allegations and I'm sorry for those who were affected. I had no idea back then. He meant so much to me through my healing And for that and that alone I truly loved that man.

seems like he was running out of breath and had to have the young man come in and finish the show. he was often short of breath in shows I've noticed. he also spoke of heart problems and surgeries. anyone have any insight of this?

BLT is definitely top 10 in `the best sandwiches category. Love to make BLT sub and add pickles & banana peppers. Bacon goes with anything though. All Club sandwiches too! omg starving now haha. His tuna sandwich episode is the best. Bring DR back to Food Network

Yes!!! That’s the episode I was looking for because he described the way the sandwich tasted when you brought it to school perfectly!!! At room temperature and in tin foil 😂

Ok. He hates canned lobster. But honestly, there is no other functional option for a restaurant serving dozens of these each day. A good quality can of lobster tail and claw meat is the only way to do this at scale and still make it remotely affordable. Much respect Dave, but sometimes you get too snobby for your own good.

I gotta say, this machine did what it says it does. My parents had one for 20 years until it finally died and then they got a rotisserie air fryer. The air fryer pales in comparison

Thanks so much for this video. My pleasure to like and sub. I have to echo the thoughts of another comment below. I really miss the old Food Network (aka TVFN). Back then I could actually learn things from Sara Moulton, Emeril, etc, and shows like Hot Off The Grill and It's A Matter of Taste. It started to go downhill fast when Emeril Live premiered. What the heck does a cooking show need some dumb band playing "garlic chopping music by Doc Gibbs"! Really!! Now, it's all about those stupid competitions. (I really don't care to watch some dummy crying because he messed up the tapioca pudding having listened to some rude commentary by the judges. They're cooking, plain and simple. They're not explaining interventional cardiac surgery!)

These machines are built like tanks even to this day! I I see reviews of customers that have owned the machine over 20 years!! Ron was a master of not only selling but making quality gear! You get your return on your money over and over again...probably the best bang for your buck kitchen appliance of all time! $160 for over 20 years of service!
