Hey 👋🏾 I’ve thought about making some bass content in the future. Not sure if it will be posted here or if it makes more sense to make another channel. I’d love to know what kind of content my bass player audience is looking for. I do teach private bass lessons for beginners as well if that’s something you’re looking for.
Unless a bunch of people request it, I don’t know that I can guarantee a separate video, but I’ve included tabs for that part at the link in the description. I’m more than happy to break it down for you in a private lesson, if needed.
It’s the A note located on the 7th fret of the D string. It’s a little bit quiet because it’s being tapped, but you’re welcome to pick it as well. Hope that helps!
Hi Tizo, I've been playing guitar for 14 years. I agree with all of these but my main two are losing focus and putting pressure on myself to learn songs. I will set unreasonable timelines for learing songs.
Thanks for sharing! That’s a big one for a lot of people. For perspective, kids who learn music performance in school might only practice 2 to 4 songs in an entire year. Unless you have a gig coming up in a few days, it’s okay to take things slow! 😂 When you get a chance, send me an email at tizoguitar@gmail.com with your RU-vid handle in the subject line and I’ll send you a copy of the chord library.
So good! I can relate to the music theory part. I am super motivated to learn it when I come across a chord progression and don't understand why it sound amazing. That definitely motivates me more than learning a bunch of theory and then figuring out how to make it sound good 🎸
Same! Now that I have a channel, whenever I learn something new and exciting, I make sure to go back and analyze it. That way I can play it in any key and teach it to others. Thanks for sharing!
Hey this was good. Yeah I like how you said self directed instead of self taught. I feel the same.. As far as learning, I was opposite. I learned hard barre chords before I learned triads. I’m dedicating this year to learning them up and down the fret board and all the different chord frames from your book as well. I appreciate your channel because you made it a little easier to follow along. Now I feel like I’m leaving beginner entering into intermediate level. You are much appreciated 🙏🏾🎸😎
One thing I love about music is there’s always something new to learn and you can take many different paths to proficiency. Looking forward to helping as many people as possible along the way. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge to the world i appreciate it! Im only working part time this summer, so i find myself having lots of time to learn guitar. I really really appreciate your videos
Is the ring finger on A minor 7 in the C section supposed to be on the A string or the D string? Because it seems like he does not pluck the A string so I don't see the purpose of the ring finger on the A string instead of the D string.
You’re correct. The A string and ring finger aren’t necessary for that part so feel free to leave them out. For simplicity’s sake, I try to keep to keep the chords and fingerings consistent (using the same shape for the C#m7 and Am7). Thanks for watching!
