Thank you for all the wonderful info. my mom gave me one that's pretty good size and it hasn't seemed very happy. it gets plenty of sun but I may have been going light on the water. I did a 1x a week watering. does it need more? it just seems sad sometimes
Thank you for the infomative video. I have a question. I just got few stems from my friend and propagated them into a huge pot. I have a very big terrace. In the morning, the sun becomes really really warm around 10 until 1 or so, and from then onwards, I have a tent in the middle of the garden that blocks this kind of scorching sunlight from 1 till 4 and then it becomes easier in the afternoon of course. Should I keep it under the sunlight to feed in the morning sun, or put under the tent (which is not transparent but lets light in), or in the west side of terrace for the afternoon sun? Also, can I put sticks and make it climb as a vine? Rather than hanging down. THANK YOU. I just followed your channel.
Thank you so much I really really enjoyed watching you talk about this stunningly beautiful plant. I’ve just got one and I think it’s the Zebrina I brought it for just £2.00!!!!!! Yes and it’s stunning too. I’ve subscribed and given you a thumbs up too ❤❤
Thank you for the abundance of information. I do have a question. I purchased my Philodendron Brasil plant in February. It is a six inch plant that’s still in its nursery pot. When would it be a good time to replant this in larger pot?
My KQ has been a disaster. I have lost about 15 leaves since purchasing her a month ago. I have no idea what’s wrong with her but I just tried my last ditch effort to salvage her. She was stunning when I bought her. Beautiful hot pink stems, several white leaves, and every few days, I get black spots. The leaves go soft and shrivel and die. The soil smells odd. Not putrid but more mossy like. So, I repotted it, washed it, took the black spotted leaves off and it still dropped and created spotted leaves. Now I used an extremely diluted bleach wash on the roots and repotted her. I am hoping this is the final fix. I’m so sad. I just don’t seem to have success with Hoya KQ. This is my 2nd one and of note, no, I do not over water her. 😭
Thank u so much i have a large one that needs a pole. I am 70 and have never grown one before so i didnt have a clue how to do this. Your video was very informative the best one i have found thus far. I have grown many plants but this is a first for me.
A couple of questions. Would this elastica or the regular green rubber tree be okay if put three in a large pot? What about if a person put both varieties in the pot, would that be a mistake? Thank you for your informative video. I have two of these plants and am looking to buy more.
I’m a new plant mom and have a monstera rooting in water. My question is, the soil mix you make, is that just for monstera’s or is it good for any house plant?
I HAVE A QUESTION. I HAVE THE MAROON, DARK GREEN PLANT, BUT ONE LITTLE BRIGHT PURPLE FLOWER MUCH DIFFERENT TO THAT OF THE REST OF THE PLANTS EMERGED. ANYONE KNOW WHAT THAT BRIGHT PURPLE FLOWER IS???? THANK YOU FOR ANY ANSWERS
No one seems to believe me but I watch a program called “The amazon jungle” and the Asian people pick this plan and eat it. I am trying to find out if anyone else knows if it’s edible.
I've found out that the best way to treat a jade is by thinking of it as a large cactus. That's to be mindful about how much water it gets and keep from overwatering. Even guys like me who think they are experienced can overwater the jade. I Iost an about 6-8" Crassula ovata (traditional oval leafed jade) when I didn't keep track of how much water I had given it and it protested, at first by dropping a few leaves, then by rotting in half! I didn't know how to propogate (or that it was even possible), so the whole plant was lost. Now I've learned my lesson and my next jade this spring will be a "gollum" jade. I assume care of them is the same. Always remember, when watering a jade, keep track of it using a calendar! Thanks for posting. 🪴🌵
I have many Z plants. Big ones in pots. I water it every 1 1/2 month , really heavyI water .then I let it dry again. Next water 1 1/2 month to 2 months. No direct sunlight and way from windows. I started with one plant and now after 6 years I have at least 5 more big one. I am thinking in propagating them , haven’t de died if I will use the water propagation . I almost feel water propagation is by luck when comes to plants that do not to have their feet soaked in water..
Such a pretty plant. Just got one in terrible shape. Trying to save it from root rot. Wish me luck, fingers are crossed 🤞 I'm propagating them in water because there is less chance in rot.
