Although it does make it there, but it just landed short from ideal smoke. It gave enemy too many angle to peek and push through

this smoke is very inconsistent; this is happening to you because you throw too early when you jump and place your orb. you have to jump just shortly after you throw (and the placement of the orb can differ depending on the millisecond difference between your jump and throw). I think this may not be an ideal lineup in general though.
