I'm sure tons of people played the game without looking up stuff on a walkthrough or something like that. It's just more fun like this. 😂 someone finally learned their lesson on saving and fast travel! Honestly though, I feel like this game Is hard enough but you make it twice as hard on yourself. Logically it would make more sense to get all the abilities first and then backtrack, plus it would give you more of an advantage to level things up. But I know you, you see shiny hidden things, you go for shiny hidden things 😂
😂😂😂 The two biggest questions are: 1) will you ever learn your lesson on saving the game 2) will you figure out the wells are also fast travel points? Stay tuned to find out! It's like we were stuck in a roundabout in this episode. 😂 But the water parts were some of my favorite gameplay of these games. Man, I love some good water effects.
1) I'll never learn my lesson. NEVER!! 😂 2) I think I did, but, just like saving when appropriate, I actually didn't 😂😂 The game is beautiful in every kind of way. Even the dark places. They did a good job on that part, no question!
Besides Unavowed and the Blackwell series, the Wadget Eye games I have are Shardlight (2016), The Shivah: Kosher Edition (2013) and Gemini Rue (2011). They put more time and effort into earlier games, though they could use some comedy writers for dialog, something that made the original ScummVM (LucasArts) games so good.
Gemini Rue is something I should give a try. At least, it was recommended to me. But the next one is most likely going to be Unavowed. And being more like the old Lucas Arts can't hurt 😁 But I think, as long as they get there act together and deliver quality storytelling, they'll be fine. Hob's Barrow sadly doesn't fit the bill

I bet there are like millions of hardcore gamers who manage to make it on their first attempt, while juggling burning chainsaws and feeding their young. But I'm not one of them 😁 But it felt so good, when I finally made it!
Ah, the Ginso Tree. A part of the game that literally made me rage and quit for about a week. Even when I came back it still took me 789 tries to outrun that water. 😂
Are you looking back on this now and realizing there were like 10 other abilities you needed and tons of backtracking to get those items?😂 All the time and effort you wasted in trying to solve a puzzle that wasn't a puzzle. But I know love secrets and hidden things so of course you had to try. Lol
Oh, you have no idea how many times you are going to watch me try to solve a problem I couldn't solve yet 😂 A few times I realised I needed to power up, before I could attempt. But most of the time I kept being a dumb stupid bull trying to smash the wall, instead of looking for the key to the door 🐂
There's going to be a whole lot of "I swear I jumped" 😂 It was a total challenge for me but as you know I suck at platformers lol I'm so unbelievably excited to watch this playthrough. ❤
😂 I'll be honest, I never finished this one. I got to the last section with the final boss (I think, been so long I can't really remember) and I got so frustrated I just put it down and never picked it up. I hope your frustration (I'm predicting you'll have some😂) doesn't deter from Will of the Wisps because they made so many Improvements and easier mechanics, it was so enjoyable.
I totally get it, though. Let's just say I had to pull myself together in several points of the game 😬 But the outlook of the Will of the Wisps helped me pull through. You told me they made it more accessible to gamers like me. Can't wait to get started on that one 😊
I'm playing this on PS4 and the dialogue you get at 6:19 never triggers for me. I think the game is bugged b/c I have done a whole lot more of Tove's tasks than you have at this point.😞
@@TeachingMoment I read a few yesterday and as far as I could find out no one had the same issue. So I'm guessing it's b/c I've done to many tasks before this was supposed to trigger. So if all else fail I just have to start over.

Exciting! I know it's a bit too late now but I found the game voices a bit low. I cranked it up and then you started talking and startled me😂 thank goodness for subtitles. Just a thought to keep in mind for future games with narration. You know per usual what happened, so I need to rewatch but so far it seems intriguing. I think it was that the statue was one of her loved one, might be her mom, that died. The colors and levels represents the levels of grief. The black thing is a part of the player character.
You're still better than me at the coordination parts. Ah yes, I think shortly after this quest I stopped playing cause I kept running in circles trying to get back to the cabin or the mine (can't remember which) after helping Minerva. Shame that such a graphically pleasing game with a fairly decent storyline is ruined by something simple as not having a map. I am glad you had the patience to push through so I can see how it ends. 😀 Also, I am eagerly awaiting some, "I swear I jumped" moments.
A nice reference in this episode is the karuma clan being named after the blade karuma, a descendant of which starring as the antagonist in aa1, manfred von karma!
