I love your ideas for the front entry. My home is very similar to yours and I want to update it as well. I recently took a style quiz and it said my style is modern Parisian. I love the black and white marble tile flooring, the wall moldings and an ornate or gilded mirror. Can’t wait for the transformations in your upcoming videos!!
Great vlog Kristen. Can’t wait to see how the renovations take shape. Definitely agree the island should be rotated lengthways and also think that three windows would really open up the space and make it feel less cramped.
Dom je krásny, nič by som nemenila. Takú cenu ako má tá kuchyňa nemá ani všetok nábytok v našom dome. Je plný svetla, veľa okien. Neviem si predstaviť že by som mala umývať 2 trikrát do roka všetky tie okná.
It’s BEAUTIFUL, Kristen!!!! I’ve always wanted an entry way with staircase. My mum’s is really pretty. I like black railings and checkered floors I’m eager to see it all tie in !!!!
PS the 3M claw changed my whole life ! 😉 also I’m excited to see what you do with a butlers pantry. My house is super old we have one with the original sliding window doors for storage and swing doors still there too. There’s one decent sized window in there I’m looking for ideas for it ! 👍🏻
Wow!! Love all your ideas. Arches 😍 will help soften the look if you do the paneling with all those straight edges. I loved that you said the cats are going to love your bonus room lol I immediately thought of mine and agreed. I desperately want to build a catio for them. I'm so happy for you and your little family with your new home and I look forward to all the changes to come!
You literally have built-in separation, and you bought something to separate them more...? All you had to do was put labels in the area, which would've been free for you 🙍🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
Make sure if you turn your island that you still have plenty of clearance to walk past the fridge if somebody is standing there with the door open. I know it sounds like it wouldn’t be a big deal, but speaking from experience 🙋🏻♀️
Do you have any videos on decorating for your cats? I’m curious what kinda of cat trees you suggest or cat stuff that goes with your home. Looking forward to seeing your home make over!
The idea of the king sized duvet that hangs over the edge of the bed is a great idea. That's my favorite part of staying at a fancy resort.. the big, comfy beds! I love a mounted tv over a beautiful fireplace mantle.. they even have tvs now that look like mirrors until you turn them on. I rarely use the tv, but when I do I set a YT scenescape/wallpaper for ambiance/art. Another way to class up your bathroom is to use 2 long curtains on your shower.. gives it that luxurious spa vibe. And fresh plants vs faux makes a big difference imo.
Put your washer/dryer in the upstairs. I never understood why we have to lug all the dirty laundry downstairs, just to carry it back upstairs. Seems like a lot of work for nothing.
Great points! I’m going to tackle the excessive Knick-knacks that are on display or stuffed into cabinets. I have so many that I’ve never used or needed. Time to ditch them. Great tip about the curtains with grommets and the furniture with cup holders. Thank you you for all of this!
We just moved into a house with a fireplace in the living room. We were thinking about putting the TV (enormous) over the fireplace. What do you think in this situation? Is that more forgiving? I know the TV will be the same length or even wider than the fireplace. The only other walls have doors in the middle leading outside or large entrways to the kitchen and dining room. So I'm a bit lost on what to do
I love your new house. I had no idea about those 3m picture hangers. Thank you so much. I keep making holes in our walls when I decide I don’t like some thing lol.
Why would you hide such a beautiful wooden stairs! It would make more sense to keep the stairs runway and give more accents to the staircase like the post and spindels. Also, it would lift up the living room space if you paint the larger pieces of wood in white, like the walls, but keep the thick busty wooden beams (?) to keep the ceiling interesting. I love all the plans you have for your new home, can't wait to see its progress!
Yesss to all the ideas! When your budget has no limits …. it’s a true bliss to be able to express your thoughts and to create a dream. You’re so young and a truly blessed with talent and financial abundance 🙌🏻 I just don’t understand why there is a constant need to change something as solid and beautiful that already is (like the floor and the staircase)Why? It’s very wasteful, encouraging not to appreciate what already is and consumerism! Never being Happy with What Is stems from the lack. Helping others to change is beautiful and rewarding!
I’m loving these ideas cannot wait till you start this project, it’s gonna be fun especially the family room with all that warm lights coming in 🥰🥰 thanks for sharing Kristen 🫶🏽❤️
