Guys, BIG OPPORTUNITY!! Overall VFX Supervisor ANDREW JACKSON will explain key elements of DNEG's VFX work on Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga in conversation with Ian Failes. This will be ONLY at @ViewConference this October! CAN'T WAIT!!
It was awesome, the feeling and the practicals were amazing. The script was a bit rubbish unfortunately. 1. A huge spaceship appears out of nowhere and a bunch of kids are the only ones out of the whole planet that located it and actually had a spaceship to board it... 2. The zero gravity and flying aliens and auto headshots was just a lazy writing. Even after so much kills, all corpses magically disappeared when the dudes had to go back 3. The elevator scene, Andy's drop and the cheesy line was another absurd. 4. The humanoid alien was a joke. Basically they were able to build the sets , build the world, the atmosphere the tension, the practicals everything is amazing. They fell miserably with the story, script and writing, everything they can do is copy old scripts and throwbacks from the other movies.
Script was a mess, chaos all over the place. If you haven't seen the original, why would you care much for Lydia, who's co-dependent, popping pills and disowned by her daughter? Delores seemed to be in there just to give Tim Burton's muse some work. Maybe some laughs but not from the three of us in an otherwise empty theater.
Behind the scenes: everyone laughing at how the script, directing, and acting was throughout the entire movie. And why wouldn't they laugh? It's Blumhouse! They're crap!!
2:48 I don't think that the story is stronger than in the first film. Actually the first film had a very clear, straightforward, strong story, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is just a story mess :D
Nope. Disagree wholeheartedly. Go find @MistrBlistr and you can pal around in your misery and find your own movie to celebrate and leave us to ourselves!
I was so terrified before I saw this - I looked at no spoilers, watched no trailers, tried not to hope too much... I almost cried from sheer joy watching it the first time. Thank you Tim for not botching it up. <3 And everyone in it for NAILING it. ...they nailed it so well I'm really, really hoping they round it out with a third.
Ok idk if you all caught it but Michael Keaton said the great thing about this Beetle juice x3, hmmm maybe a hint about a Beetle juice 3 in the works 🤔
People think working in the film industry is fun but most of the time you're working on some commercial, tv movie, crappy tv show or sometimes an okay movie. It's rare for really awesome movies or series to come along that everyone working on it is really excited about it and it's decent quality. When you do get on one of those sets it's about as fun as life can get. Some of the best times in my life have been on film sets but they're very much the minority of your time working in the film industry. It's really about who you know, how well you're liked and good ol' luck when it comes to what stuff you'll get to work on.
This was probably one of the best vampire movies that ive seen in YEARS! I would definitely watch repeated viewings and that little girl brought something unique to her character as it was difficult to root against her...i silently cheered her on throughout the entire movie and added a sense of realism as it pertains to her actually just wanting love from her evil father and kind of got it from Joey instead
