just a regular knife, the front of it but hold it straight down, if you have a pressure washer that’s the best way, just hold the tail and it blows the scales right off
Nice video man, seems like sockeye are like Kokanee, soft mouths and gotta take it slow reeling them in. Do you think having a bet would help land them?
@@PavlusAdventures thanks man, it might help, as soon as you get em close they freak out we tried taking it slow they still break off a second hook might be more helpful
@@BoykoOutdoors oh yea. I’d run a stinger hook if allowed, I fished 3 days at baker lake. Man they are squirlly. Lost one on a 30lb leader with loose drag.
@@HolySpiritExperience yea that’s really interesting how that works. But both fish are awesome to catch. I just mentioned that i try to bring them slower because like Kokanee they break off easily. Btw I like your Channel heading. God bless you.
Nice! I went to the Skagit twice in Mt. Vernon in late June and early July, nothing both times. Didn't see any of the other folks catching neither. The sockeye fishery is a whole different game compared to coho and chums, and lets not mention the pink runs.
@@Aventura.out. yea they sure are tricky, they are not easy to land either keep jumping out of water with the 4oz weight and they got power for their size! Cohos are my favorite on that river even though they can be tough sometimes too
