Hey everyone, Welcome to my channel where I highlight gaming various types of games and give my thoughts on trying to balance gaming and a normal work/social schedule.
Looking at the raw numbers P4 is more profitable if you are doing all extraction and then feeding it to factory planets, but to do that you need at least 15 planets for extraction(one for each resource), 1 planet for P1 to P2, 1 planet for P2 to P3 and 1 planet for P3 to P4. at least if you want to do it in a timely fashion. P3 is easier to do and scales much better than P4, i really only recommend P4 if you are doing things yourself with it such as building structures, JakeL33t has a video about doing Extraction to P4 and i have experimented with the setup and the big pain is you are basically doing pickup drop offs either every day or every other day. This setup of P1 to P3 allows you to have about 90-100 hours where you can just let it run and not have to mess with it which is ideal for passive income setups.
Can i ask why you dont use the storage unit as a central holding for everything then just have one launch pad? Can you not move materials between launch pad and storage?
There are a few reasons, mostly its just less clicks and if you are doing PI across 6+ toons every click saved is a bit of time, but the side one that I ran into while doing some testing recently is if you accidently miss one or two goods in the expedited transfer you have a cooldown where goods get stuck in either the launchpad or in the storage unit itself, the extra 2K M3 you get from the storage feels wasted since in theory you will never cross that threshold> All this being said i am returning to eve after a few month break and retooling all my PI atm and will be putting up a few new vids about it since this vid is about a year old and could probably use some updating.
@@nsdocholiday my theory crafting idea was that you had extractor planets in lowsec on one toon extracting approximately the same quantities per planet. Then dump this into storage on a builder planet in high sec on another toon. This means it could be constantly running???
@@smiffyb25 if you are extracting in LS you might as well keep your factories in LS as well for a possible lower tax rate, 10-20% tax rate is the average in HS for planets which really cut deep into margins, i actually was using my HS toon in pochven for a bit to do it since the planets are the same quality as WH space.
I can probably cook up a video about 3 input PI goods, but the margins might be a little thinner in addition that for efficiency purposes you "should" have your command center skills maxed out, this is of course if you are doing factory only planets and not harvesting yourself. I have been on a break from eve due to real life work getting busier so i haven't kept up on pricing but i will hop on sometime this week and try to get a video out.
@@nsdocholiday ty... I run 3 char to make t2 and now i have all maxed sp to go on next lvl for t3, all videos i watched is with 2 input for t3.... My setup is simple 4 planets for t0-t1 and 1 planet for t2 now i have enough t2 to make t3 with 1 char on 6th planet but stuck there.... Waiting for video, thank you for your response... o7
I will never understand why rats think that camping a empty part of the map is a more effective way of getting loot than rushing into high loot areas. Like yeah I am 100% certain the guy who sat in a tree for 5 raids and gets 1 kill definitely gained more loot than i did moving around the map for 5 raids and getting 15 kills
Great vid new player only a month in just set my pi up wish id seen this video first i live in high sec as im a new bro, making the 5jump trip to my null sec havesting planets is risky business and one planet always out does the other making my production planets all over the shop. Wonder if you had the tech maxed could you do a set up with 3 different t3 making one t4? So instead of 16-4 mabye like 12-3-1? Also fit more storage so you could just collect it once a week? The math hurts my brain 😅
I'm ratting since 2016 :) Talking about "chads" seems stupid. No military guy ever just storms alone hillybilly into a house he has to clear. Guess that playstyle came from COD. As they call slow and steady use terrain and anything else to your advantage. If you really wanna do the "BAD" brutal agressive dynamic tactic you need more teammates to take over once your down.
First wipe, learning the maps was the biggest thing that was holding me back in the beginning. I would go to wrong extracts or just not have a clue about timing.
Yeah my first wipe i remember getting lost in woods all the time, now its just second nature for me to know where i am except for 1 or 2 spawns that are behind scav house, i always get disoriented around that area for some reason still.

The stankrat dude got zero skill. He loves glitched out spots. Still using trees after they tried patching it out. He straight exploits the game. His aim is terrible. Any time he gets up from his spot hes heading back to lobby 😂😂 its hilarious. I watch his videos to catch his hide spots since he loves to broadcast where they all are.
Yeah not getting kills or PVP in tarkov will net you GARBAGE XP. The games where I've raked in the most xp are raids with lots of kills. Getting no kills and extracting gets you dog shit xp.
Yes its a viable strategy so it deserves to be in the game. But god forbid you prefer any other playstyle then its ok to constantly nerf any other playstyle but your favorite one off course!
Even if the meta shifts away from ratting I'm still going to rat. It's fun. I prefer to win with map knowledge and clever hiding spots over aggressive combat prowess.
Impossible to do most tasks. Overloading of tasks as well, way to many and not really a clear task path after the initial few. Screw lighthouse and shoreline quests, those maps are cancer. Reserve requires 20keys for beginner tasks. With rats camping you die and can never extract with the pocketwatch. With chads running around dorms, good luck going to room 220. And then the all mighty one tap scavs thru 20 bushes and several trees. Audio is completely screwed. I even had an argument with someone else cause landmvrk and the other streamers are apparently using 3rd party audio mixers to reduce their own movement sounds so they can hear everything else. Nice to know that I'm the only one in a raid that has to listen to the supply drop. Anyone using another program to improve Tarkov is cheating in my book. I'm not even talking about color correction on your desktop or display either. Trey24k has been abusing the lobby exploit that lets you have 15man squads, still hasn't been banned. Anyways I got to lvl 30 and then it's just a brick wall that feels impossible to overcome and I just can't enjoy the game anymore.
"Ratting" is a combat tactic that tests exceptional players. Hunt or be hunted. The more situational awarness the better and being patient to observe possible situations from hard cover with limited open angles where you are looking or going; will increase your chance of survival against ratting.
The games movement and damage mechanics reward play styles that don’t put themselves at any risk. Possible fix is to make your helmet just protect your entire face, yes unrealistic but it might help the fights feel more fun and fair. Add an adrenaline effect that starts whenever a player is shot that basically gives them the pain killer effect. To all rats, what’s it like playing a game and not really doing anything for extended periods of time?
Look there's a difference between tactically moving around the map thoughtfully hitting spots to find someone and sitting in a dark corner for 40 minutes just hoping that someone might cross their path i know there not having fun
people are so focused on making tarkov "realistic" which I think is dumb. Veritas has made a similar video complaining about the communities obsession with realism. The fact of the matter is, the game is just that... a game. I don't think having everyone extract camp being the meta makes sense at all. Me watching RU-vid in D2 bunker because its the most surefire method to getting kills and loot is dumb. This whole video is just you giving the tarkov devs an out on poor game design where the meta is literally to not play for 20 minutes and left click on people at extract. Its not your fault if you rat either, it just makes sense, especially with the anti-loot system bsg has put in place with the current weight system where you are literally put at a disadvantage for picking up loot. The fact of the matter is, tarkov has gotten progressively worse over the years in a bad attempt at fixing an already broken meta, but at least the previous metas I actually was playing the game instead of sitting in a tree. Great job tarkov devs for making the meta to not play at all.
At the end of the day tarkov is a video game. People are going to play as they like or within their comfort zone. Calling someone a rat is not going to change the way they play.
it is bad for the game, when you have player like stankrat promoting ratting it's more common than ever now. He just camps in a spot and that's all he does.
I don't usually rat. But when I do, it's because I just heard/saw a 5 man, and I'm solo. There's no sense in just handing over my loot. It's called situational awareness. There are no rules in tarkov besides don't be a POS cheater. I could care less about rats. Seems boring to me, but I'm also not a w key Chad either.
To be honest this was the main reason I picked up doing it, spend a weekend against nothing but 3-5 mans as a solo and you start leaning to the more sneaky playstyle.
the probelm with ratting in this game is that the maps are designed to have the extractions at choke points (d2 for example) where its nearly impossiable to win a fight there and you cant run away bc thats where the extract is.
I’m a 30 year old man with a baby that just turned 1, a job, a mortage to pay off with natural severe case of bad hand tremors. Ratting is literally the only thing I enjoy or even can do in the game. I don’t have time to waste several hours of my life doing the same tasks every wipe. Rats > Chads
Same.. how am i to compete against ussain bolt with T6 armor and infinite stamina when my npc is a fat fuck with no stamina. Once im detected im done and i cant even run to the exit…. Because my fat rat cant run for shit!! The best thing would be for all to have basic runspeeds and stamina and so on…
would highly recommend checking out sptarkov in this case, lots of people in that community that have other commitments and cant afford to play the game as a full time job, dont suffer from wipes or cheaters either
Isnt about profit or abusing shit... put it in this way, run a map with 16 rats on it and other with people who play the game, what game the mayority would want to play? the rat fest with no loot no kills no exp or a game where you see people playing? ratting is a way of coward players to play there is no doubt about it and i play with a rat, he gets frustrated cuz he gets no loot no kills and the gear fear that he has, my god...
It's not the problem of ppl not looking around. It slowly comes to the moment when 90% of the lobby will just camp hot spots/extracts making game just stupid to play as not-rat. I want to play a survival shooter, and not a horror game where i'm afraid of just going somewhere because i'll get spam-tapped witg saiga on flechettes or sprayed in legs with vector
