I loathe that maybe line line. I think the glosses r horrendous and for me the pigment is almost not there for the blush and bronzer. Love ur channel tho😍
I have the shade Bronzed Beauty, however I feel like it's a little bit too warm for my Fair Olive undertone skin. But then again most Gothic people tend to whitewash their face anyway, so I think any shade of blush would look like unnatural against like white makeup😂. I wanted to try some of the newer shades of blush that have come out I just got one from L'Oreal that's a bright Coral shade and it's powder and that I find to be more bendable.
As someone who does have Olive undertones although I don't know whether I'm warm or cool I think I'm somewhere in the middle I should get my hands on Blue Color Corrector most of the foundations I tend to buy tend to be very yellow. I want the elf Halo glow I tried to go my normal shade by getting Light/ Medium One in their line and it ended up being too dark. So I had to go a shade lighter. The same works for a lot of the foundations I tend to buy even slightly on the higher end I always ask them to go a shade lighter, but keep the same undertones. Which kind of works out I mean most Gothic people don't really follow the rules of matching the foundation to their skin tone.
Are you watching on the highest quality setting (1080p)? Sometimes RU-vid will automatically set the quality lower for faster streaming but you can manually set highest quality with the settings icon.
Off topic, but your specialty is cool-toned makeup (we all thank you!!), and I want to suggest a lip pencil I think you'd like, Smoky Pink by Makeup by Mario. You're welcome! Please keep the videos coming!
Thank you for this video, Lindsey! ❤ I like the glass skin effect, but I think I won't buy this foundation, because I always hydrate my skin very well and apply a SPF 50+ before my makeup, I'm sure it would look too shimmery. And I don't want to emphasize the pores between the eyebrows, my skin tends to get oily in that area, I use niacinamide every day in order to avoid it (it kind of works...)
I bought the foundation and unfortunately it is really too sheer, it has no coverage. The texture is great, specially for dry skin but basically too expensive for what it provides.
Can you do a foundation swatch video? Where you swatch your best matches, what they look like after you colorcorrect them and some of the olive shades you have found that don't suit you. I think it's a bit hard to tell if we have a similar skintone or not and i don't think there is such a thing as too many olive swatches ❤️ (i also think it will be a good refrence point for other olives as the amount of mutedness etc can really varied across fair olives) Also a bit random but i really like your voice it's very soothing!
I like the products I have- I bought the winter holiday collection where there were gold flake designs. I really loved the light pink highlighting powder as an all over powder. The shade of the mattifying one was too dark for my skin and it reminded me of banana setting powder- might work for other darker skin tones... but their "light" wasn't light enough for me. The lipstick and eyeshadow with their rose quartz shades were the standout products to me. I'm on the fence recommending anything from this brand to anyone with darker skin tones... everything is just so sheer and it's not very strong color payoff... but it's a vibe if you like barely there makeup for sure.
I just got this in the shade Gleam today. Purple Haze & Quartz shades are on the way. These are beyond-belief fabulous! They go on so easy, and look great. This is such a great video. You are a talented MUA & very lovely. Thank you for sharing your test drive with us! 😘👍🏻💙
Chantecaille products are so alluring, Lindsey! And terribly pricey, unfortunately 😭 I have two satin lipsticks, the two foundations you mentioned (the shade Aura is perfect for me) and the pinky sheer glow skin tint 🩷, I absolutely love them 🌸💕 Thank you for your video, a good review is definitely needed before buying something else! That hydrating blush and the creamy powder... 😍
I own the Rare Beauty Bronzer stick in Power Boost. It's the lightest shade and I really like it. I want to try the Saie Cream Bronzer in Fair. I just think it might disappear into my skin. I do better with powders.
I’m also a light summer with olive tones! My skin and hair is exact the same as yours, we’re color twins except my eyes are green. I’m a new subscriber and I’m loving your videos! Do you like using Mac lipsticks? Have you tried the shades Please Me, Faux or Plumful? I think Faux is similar to Viva Glam II! 💜
“For $8, I feel like there’s gotta be a catch with this.” 😂 Well, hey, Dollar General’s beauty line Believe Beauty has a foundation for $5 that comes in a nice thick, glass bottle with a pump and it’s actually a pretty dang great foundation! Just really makes me realize how much brands usually hike up prices of things vs cost of the product (to make, package it, etc.). I always knew they did that. But when you get a great product for an affordable price, so many people are like…well, how can they do it? But to me, I just feel like they didn’t hike the price as much as other brands (or even Elf does normally. Like with their dupes, the prices are much more than normal Elf prices since when you compare their price to the product they’re duping, it seems really affordable, but it’s still not cheap and not as low as Elf prices usually are)
Do you think you’re allergic to it? Let us know how the skin irritation was after ❤😊 I want it, but also scared since you said your skin was reacting to something!
I absolutely love how it looks on you, it's so skin like! And what a stunning makeup 🔥 I own many luxury foundations and this one is so beautiful... I really feel dumb 😱
Love the shade match guarantee! Thanks for the info on the shade match. Would love to see one side done with a brush and the other side done with a brush.
