With this song and video, it's the end of an era. It's another thing I shared with my dad that has ended. Yes, I can go back and listen to their older stuff and have the memories of listening to them with him, bit this is just so special. My dad never got to see or hear this. He passed in 2006.

His father is a Kazakh culture official (and artist as well) and his mother (is or was) an opera singer at the Astana opera … They have 2 younger children who are also musically gifted. Dimash started to attend singing and music schooling at the age of 5yo.. He has a classical formation and was offered a residence at the opera … He refused the honorific job because he wanted to explore different genres and avenues. He started to attend singing competition locally … and you will see why he eventually got to be renown all over Asia … Especially after his first performance of many on the Chinese - Hunan TV singing competition ¨The Singer 2017¨ … I am communicating to you the link to the specific performances of Dimash on that 2017 show. Since I discovered that you are inclined to appreciate music … I am quite sure that if you do not know of this guy … your jaw will drop … On first round of the competition … Dimash gets to sing a composition created through a collaboration by French Michel Berger and Canadian Luc Plamondon … ¨S.O.S. d`un terrien en détresse¨ (you could translate to ¨S.O.S. of an earthling in distress¨) … part of a 1978 Rock Opera production named ¨Starmania¨ … There were several singers of the song through the decades … The first one was Daniel Balavoine followed by Bruno Pelletier in the 1990s and in 2005 Grégory Lemarchal got to take it for another ride which was found on You Tube platform by Dimash in the early 2010. Dimash did not speak French … but he did undertake the composition in it`s original version. And performed it at different singing competition through asia. This is the explanation of the crowd reaction to Dimash presentation on the 1st round of the live performance … I red that the following morning of the first round of the Chinese ¨The Singer 2017¨… Dimash`s fandom grew by the tens of millions. The prize was one million dollars and Dimash had every chance of winning that but he has enormous integrity. He then had to stand there while judges like Ru Paul berated him, saying he knew what he was getting in to. Dimash stood there respectfully but stuck to his principles. You’re thinking of David Draiman of Disturbed who sang “Sound of Silence.” Both versions, live and album, are amazing. Anyway, Dan Vasc is “amazing” in a different way. So, so talented no matter what genre he sings. I have mad love for Dan… and his hair!
I enjoyed your reaction. Dan is an amazedly versatile singer and arranger. Wait until you hear Ill make a man out of you from Disneys Mulan from Disney or Burn Butcher burn from the Witcher his performances in metal are Epic and so well done. .
He was orphaned and self taught as a singer….the only one close in the WOW factor is Dimash, another Filipino singer…with a wider range, but not going from male to female
