Dan recorded this song in his garage, solo, between Christmas and New Year's. He was determined to release it quickly, beating the flood of covers that all and their gandmas would release. With the metal version already in his mind, Dan's keen sense for sound allowed him to bring his vision to life. Even if you think the vocals peaked, Dan adds a unique twist, taking the song to new heights.

Dan does Pricilla’s song in two versions. Metal and with just the lute. His breath control is unreal. In Black Wind Fire and Steel, he belts out the last note for a good 30 seconds. Looking forward to more of your reactions to Dan.

Fabulous reaction! That’s Dan doing Dan things. 😊 All the Witcher covers are great. Burn Butcher Burn is a tour-de-force of singing, acting, and performance. He did a metal cover of Priscilla’s song (great) and then asked whether people wanted a version with just voice and lute: Very quiet and beautiful. BTW, he’s said that when he hears songs his brain imagines metal versions of them. He can take a song like Adele’s Rolling in the Deep, which I never thought much of, and transform it into a terrific song. Whatever you want, Dan can do - folk, Disney, Broadway, even opera. I’m always amused at how many different songs people mention; it’s impossible to get a real grasp of what he can do after just one or two. Enjoy your journey. More Dan please. You don't have to obstruct or put a filter over Dan's videos, The Vasc doesn't copystrike, hail Van Dasc. Hope to see more reactions of Dan. Also, Dan does the instrumentals for some songs, sometimes the member's of his band Fearless (including his brother) do the instrumentals, and Victor The Guitar Nerd helps out a lot with the instrumentals. I'd recommend Dan's covers of Evanesence's Bring Me To Life, Burn Butcher Burn (Witcher), The Song of the White Wolf (Witcher), Nightwish's Sleeping Sun, The Music of the Night (from The Phantom of the Opera), I'll Make A Man Out Of You (from the origial Mulan movie), Petra's Beyond Belief (featuring members of Petra, including John Schlitt, who was one of Dan's idols/inspirations to start singing), and Seal's Kiss From A Rose (duet with Violet Orlandi), that should be a good start

For this particular song, here's what Dan put into his Description: "This is my metal cover of Toss A Coin To Your Witcher, song from the second episode of The Witcher on Netflix. All arrangements and instruments by yours truly." That doesn't necessarily mean that Dan actually played an instrument for the background music (though he does play a few things). He has said in a few interviews, that he "loves MIDI." That might mean a full track, or (going by the statement of, "...and instruments," however) he might have gotten single track MIDIs of particular parts...not as likely. In a few of his older videos, you can see that he had a keyboard available in his old studio. One of those is... "Fullmoon" - SONATA ARCTICA cover" from 02/29/2012. This one doesn't show a keyboard, but it's REALLY fun, and shows the mics that he used to use, and how very creative he was, even then. Now, there IS a small guitar in it, beginning at 4:15, but...I'm not at all sure that Dan was actually PLAYING it. Check it out and judge for yourself (grin)... Well now let's see, I would start with I'll make a man out of you from Mulan, then go quiet with Loch Lomond and an American trilogy. Fom there bit operatic with Nessun Dorma, phantom of the opera, Gethsemane and Handels Hallelujah. Ease yourself in again with kiss from a rose, Son of pain, pour some sugar on me, Priscilla's song, one of Adele songs, a Bon Jovi and Belinda Carlisle, before going to the deep end with Bring me to life, Song of the white wolf, Burn butcher burn, black wind fire and steel, number of the beast. From there I'll go over to Orions reign channel for Elder Blood, Elon and Thunderstruck and then an original on Confessori channel called where eagles fly. Then you're on your own, because he has so many other covers that you can choose anyone and still be surprised.

Awesome reaction. Dan is a master of doing the unexpected, and masters every vocal technique there is, he sings everything from Opera to acoustic folkmusic, to disney music, to heavy power metal. And yes, he does all the instrumentation, arranging, editing and mastering in most of his videos. In some of his videos he sometimes has guitarist playing - in his latest videos he has collaborated tightly with Victor The Guitar Nerd.

I think a lot of his guitar stuff is done by someone called Victor the guitar nerd and there’s another one called Gabrielle he played the guitar in the cover Dan did Loch Lomond another great song, in my opinion not metal though, but still excellent, like you I can’t say anything but good thing about this man, his singing is perfection at its best. He’s done a cover called Priscilla’s Song I don’t know if it’s the one you mean.

Dan is also an incredible actor, which is evident in his performances, especially when he performs Gethsemane (Get-sem-annie) from the rock opera/musical Jesus Christ Superstar.
