Greetings from Romania. I have a honda civic 8, FK1, 1.4i, 99 HP, and it's work. I fix my idle start. Befor when i start engine my rpm rise abouve 2000+ rpm. Now is 1500 cold start. Thank you, and I'm sorry for my english.👍
Guys i have a hinda civic fd 2008 , after i start the car and accelerate a little it shuts off if i dont keep accelerating and my control pannel light flicks
1:30 what about how you swapped the jack for the jack stand……. Be careful tightening before setting ride height in order to damage bushing Not sure I’d out $30 shocks in after the OE ones probably went way way over 100k miles
I just want to mention a surprise overheating problem. My overflow bottle had too much black crap at bottom of bottle blocking the hose to radiater. Cleaned it all out, rather than buy a new one. Running perfectly.
Ohh noo Danny I once told you to put on the KYB Gas a Just Shocks not the Excel-G-iz😂 And I am also curious about what were the original shocks, where they Sachs shocks like on my Civic or were they some other brand?
I’m not sure what the original shocks were, they have been discarded, also if you have a better shock please send me the Amazon link and I’ll post it for others as they can have choices, send Amazon link to dannysdiygarage@gmail.com
Hi Danny, i respect and appreciate your work, it helped me a lot , i have 2010 Honda civic Coupe, the link for the part in description does not fit Coupe model
My passenger front window isn’t working. Can anyone help me or make a suggestion. I changed my window motor. The same piece in the video that was inside the door. It appeared to fix the problem but momentarily it wouldn’t go up or down. We changed the master control panel on the front drivers side too just in case but it didn’t fix the issue. So, we think this isn’t the issue. Any suggestions?
I believe big dog on youtube did put the weight of the car on the shock before torturing it down because yes I believe it will twist and prematurely wear out your lower bushing..
@@dannysdiygaragehey danny. For your 8th gen civic. Can you please tell me how many bottles of power steering fluid you used for the power steering fluid flush and refill video you made? Im going to do it tommorow morning. I got all the tubes and the bulk head fittings. I just need to know how many bottles of PST FLUID i will need
@@DkpProductions absolutely agree! The upper nut was seized to the stud on one of my rear shocks. there are a few ways to get it off. I bought an angle grinder to cut off the top nut and stud to get it to come out. you might also try a reciprocating saw/Sawzall or up to the max an Acetylene/ oxy torch. but i dont recommend a torch due to potential fire hazard. I'd rate mine as a level 6 in difficulty. Danny has it easy in California. Getting the lower bolt started can also be a chore, best to watch several videos before tackling this job. unless you live where it never freezes/ snow or ice in winter. Generally Danny has super videos on here, but be carefull to adjust for your own part of the world and own car.
Danny, how about for the Honda Element vehicle, it's not as easy as I recalled. Do a video on changing the shocks/struts if u r able in the HE? That certainly was an easy swap out. 👍🏽
My passenger side window did not work. After the drunk driver crashed into my passenger side, the window finally started work. Only problem is my car is become useless 😢
Hi Danny sir, Needed your view on the intrinsic problem of honda civic 8th generation. Why its rear right suspension/ wheel is always in lowered/sagged position compared to left side, even in unladen conditions ?
Thank you. Where would the TCC solenoid be on the honda civic 06-11. I have the p0741 code and no mechanic wants to tell me where it is. They go straight to “Just rebuild it.”
I used some aftermarket bulbs on the 2003. The thick tang goes at 12:00, they don't twist in. The metal clip must raised over the bulb and down, where it will fasten on the black plastic light housing.
My element rpms are dropping only after about 2 minutes of it being turned on and idleing. As the rpms lower the voltage drops as well and then the car shuts down. I have no idea why it’s doing this. Previous to this, it was not starting, I changed the spark plugs and it started finally and ever since it’s been parked because it won’t stay on after I turn it on I can drive it but after 2 minutes the idle won’t stay normal it will eventually drop once the car warms up. It idles fine the first two minutes and will even drive if I keep the rpm’s up after 2 minutes. But if I ever let off the gas after two minutes the rpm’s get so low that it shuts down. First two minutes it idles fine,, after warmup it just starts to decrease rpm’s slowly until it shuts down. Any idea what it is??
Cooling fan relay is working as i tested it in place of headlight relay but cooling fan are not getting the current. Fuses are intact, both fans work when connected directly to battery. What could be the cause? The relay base has voltage in one socket only when engine is on. When ignition on (AC button on too), no power in any socket point of cooling fan.
I'd like to add that although it's the same thing technically, they make MAF sensor cleaner for a reason. You can use the electronic cleaner for the throttle body also, but technically MAF cleaner should be the only thing cleaning that sensor. But to each his own as they say.
Great video exactly what my cars problem is same spot. We’re can I get these o rings at I tried other ones same size but just to thick and can’t seem to find the o rings anywhere?
@@BransonGraham-s4h best place Honda dealer, any automotive parts store also, check the description in this video, I should have part numbers and possibly a Amazon link
Dear Dennys DIY Garage: thank you for the video first of all. Would you say it is a good idea to have the store bought battery fully charged on a dedicated AC charger prior to installation?
