British TAs need to learn how to speak their own language properly before starting in a classroom. The problems are mainly with native English speakers, as the non-natives are usually ok! I'm constantly hearing double negatives and tenses (eg. did-done, were-was, seen-saw, went-go, come-came etc.) the wrong way round and even during lessons on grammar! How is this helping children to learn English?
Love your videos! Thank you for sharing ❤️🙏🏻 Plus your new haircut suits you really good and looks gorgeous 🤗 Could you please upload a video involving tips for „settling-in-sessions“ 🫶🏻 I am observing a child as a nursery practitioner in our setting who gets settled in by a colleague but the settling-in is really difficult. Do you have any tips? I’d really appreciate it 🙏🏻 Thank you! Linda
Consistency is key when settling a child, they will usually be dysregulated due to change so making each day feel the same should help. Work with the parents to ensure a clear routine to cause as little distress as possible. Stickers as a reward can be really helpful for toddlers so creating a chart with stickers and a treat at the end of the week might work (depending on their age).
The "discrimination" thing is such an eye opener fr.. I realized that I was too biased on the belief that "discrimination" equals to being racist or other negative tbehaviours.
Sex education.. There is a distinction that needs to be made between puberty education and sex education. It is true that some children begin puberty as early as nine years and maybe there is a level of teaching about puberty here? Puberty is about hormonal changes in the body. Knowledge of hormonal changes is about human biology so perhaps you should put human biology on the curriculum for the nine year young students in which libido energy can be spoken of as creative in a knowledgeable and artistic sense rather than having a sexual orientation. (After all, we would like our children, educated to be intelligent human beings. Human beings that do not use the libido energy to cloud their vision every three seconds but to be given the information on an intelligent level and in the correct way. Enabling the young students to make a more informed choice rather than believing that sex is the norm which it is not from a biological perspective. In fact sex too young and sex too much, sapps the libido energy which lessons the creative flow of the libido energy into other areas of the brain. We lose a lot of artistic and knowledgeable measure due to the “idea” that sex is good for you. No it isn’t!) In this way, sex education could be taught at 14 ready for the legal age of intercourse which is 16 years.
I am glad there are resources that relate to the UK setting. Some strategies also work for TA, including ad hoc ones. However, how can you link their passion with core subjects?
Thanks for watching! You can link pupil's passions with the core subjects by using examples and stories that relate to what they enjoy, such as TV shows or video games or areas they enjoy visiting like parks
@@My-Progression “Thus, the supervisors are the ones who must stay inside the entire time of the exam while the proctors can go in and out of the examination room. In short, they are at the disposal of the supervisors. Is it correct?”

Just finished the application process for TA at a DOE preschool and I'm highly anxious and nervous the closer I get to my start date. Been working with a company that works with children that may have development issues. They haven't done great by training and I haven't done so well at other preschools. If anyone has extra advice for me. Please and thank you!
Confidence comes from knowledge, and we do have a few videos about working in an early years setting so we'd recommend checking those out if you haven't yet, especially your role as a nursery practitioner and the power of storytelling. Children in preschool are finding their personalities and their voices so by being supportive and encouraging, you're sure to do well!
The answer isnt ban homework across the board. The answer is personalized education. If you dont need homework to remember the skills you just learned then thats fine. But there are students out there that need homework because they forget what they learned the next day due to ADHD and other mental struggles. Sometimes homework is necessary for those students in order to keep it in yheir minds and rem.
