If you were raised with honesty and integrity as your core values, while they certainly help, you're always in for a cold shower when, as an adult, the clowns refuse to take off their masks for the same shallow reasons... We should be grateful for coming to this deeper realization about the world and how people operate in it, but the truth is so exhausting. You realize the grief you could have saved yourself if only you had been more flexible in thought - a cowboy in this situation, a clown in that one... But it's not just you. "Friendventories" are a must for us old souls, our sanity's at stake and not something to be negotiated at the bargain counter. "She said 'facts'..." Yep, I officially missed ya(p) 🙂

I stopped appeasing people who were giving little to nothing back to me. It's all about give and take. I very subtly extract myself from those situations with people who don't give a damn about me. Also don't jestermaxx for people to be liked; you'll never be respected by them.

I am 40+ and I understood I am autistic like 5 years ago, but I don't have an official diagnosis as I am very "high functioning". I can relate to most of the things you say, but...what I did is I accepted myself. Still from time to time I wish I was like smb else...no.. that does not work. You have your own qualities and should rely on them. I put a mask on for 15years to have a successful career in IT field, but it takes a toll. I am tired of this and burnt out a lot. In my opinion great deal of famous, successful people are autistic, just they are in their 50ties and above and have not been diagnosed. :D. The theme song of my life was and to some extend is "What the hell am I doing here...I don't belong hereee" - Radiohead :). Another thing I noticed is that we internalize these things a lot and feel awkward and strange, but in reality we CAN relate to other people on so many levels, we are just too sensitive and overthinking all the time. I do have a deep sense of justice and it is a blessing and a curse - you can just not be fake - not possible and you see through fakeness very quickly and unapologetically. I think that you will be and are doing great the way you are :) Regards

Hi Mimi. Your chats and self-reflections really resonates with how I felt ('never good enough' internal talk) in the past when I was comparing my accomplishments, time (finances, career) pressures, with others. Thinking back before I met my partner (wife), I felt like "a ship without a sail" if you will, and there was more pressure in myself to be the best achiever at something as society expects that from us. I think as you said, being more productive, even over working (that lead to burnouts) to feel more self worthy doesn't necessarily equate with being creative, authentic or being true to ourselves. Thankyou for what you do!

Hi Awakened by my AuDHD brain working overtime this morning. After a long chain of thoughts I found myself considering Sisyphus and his task pushing a boulder up a hill each day, and realised how this gave him purpose in what rationally is an otherwise futile existence. Aware just how fragile our mental health is, as we question everything and often conclude that existence is futile, and get depressed, I felt the importance of this parable in showing us how we must find our own purpose. Of course this could be no novel insight, and Googling Sisyphus Myth Positive immediately brought me to Albert Camus, who develops the theme beautifully, showing Sisyphus by embracing his purpose conquers his fate. Maybe you have told the tale already, I have not watched everything on you channels, but if not this seemed so in line with your message that I felt the need to share in the hope you too might develop the message and bring healing to more of us.

I'm HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) with cerebral nerve disconnect with eyesight, speech, and inner ear. So I neurologically overlap with Autistic. I'm extremely emotionally, mentally, and sensory burnt out! No one in my family understands. I really just want to cocoon in my apartment. Thank you for this video. Hugs 🤗

Hi Mimi, I quite like your passion you put into talking about the 6 points for changes (did enjoy your empowerment e-book, by the way) we can make now. This makes sense to me about being more authentic and being more in control of our own destiny. Your fourth point, I think, about equations and solutions being the key, describes it the best for me as there is a pattern not only in our own journey and world (interesting BBC doc on Math in our world) but in the universe (spiritual) as well. It seems that our own destiny is interrelated with others. Nevertheless, we should be attuned to in our own life; looking at things (be it relationships, creativity or work) that worked in the past and what didn't. Thank you for what you do!

This will come in handy to power through those winter months, although, knowing myself, I'll probably hide away and hibernate sometime after Halloween 😅 (Hope you're cruisin' and low on bruisin'! 🐒)

As an Aspie I worked day and night to succeed and get good grades. I pushed myself to hernias and insanity to avoid failure at all costs. Love was supposed to come from that success. 14 years later I learned to love and just go with the flow. Let life unfold and let stuff just happen. That is when the trail got Magical for me. "with my staff, and one good eye, I may laugh, and I may cry" ( In Gowan Ring)
