We are here to make music and build community. Modular-centric? Absolutely. We love the artform. But exclusive? Never.
We are multi-instrumentalists interested in many forms of expression and here to encourage all human beings in a similar way. Whoever you are and however you make music---you are welcome in this safe space. Come join us!
I definitely got to get into gear so I can play my gear, this is really cool! I love live pa DJs these days are kinda eh. This is the future of real electronic music
only just starting to understand why these are cool this sounds epic. does having one of these things permanently stop u from writing songs in a daw because its so fun to play with it?
I really believe modular can be anything you want it to be, but it is definitely fun to play with! Modular can absolutely compliment your daw or be the answer to the question what is something that I'd really like to incorporate into my music that's more hands-on . and what part of my music do I want to draw inspiration into?
They are instruments like any other instrument. Most people that are into them unfortunately are TOO into sound design, which makes for a buncha same sounding shit. But there are plenty of examples of people that make "real" music with modular set ups. This is just a meet of people that are into sound design showing off their modules and twisting a couple of knobs in the spirit of performance. It's cool in it's own way.
multiple sequencers , but the play is the main clock . my small rig rec would be go with a midi to cv device and a turing machine / ornament and crime and get the best of both worlds
Beautiful arpeggio stuff 3:20 in G min? At 4:45 bass G to (A or B flat?) I know ‘G min add 9’ chord plays perfect at 5:40. Standard tuning of course, nothing fancy. Tuned to a piano, same notes.
It must’ve taken over an hour to set everything up? Or only 15 minutes? This reminded me of ‘Caustic’ software (plug ins) except this is real deal. Synth, drums, 303s, 808s whatever? Where’s the notes’ Piano roll? Synth-mess. 500 trillion sampled presets actually made from scratch
not a long set up at all (5 min). all synths are live , two analog pluck voices , analog bass, acidlab m303 , poly from disting ex and the oxi coral. plus two analog perc voices . sequencers : polyend play , ndlr, hermod and turing machine .
