Not so fun fact: the Sea Dragon Leviathan is the only creature that can one shot the player, has ranged projectiles, and has a grab. There are also four of them at the final sea base necessary to beat the game.
funnily enough my deep fear of the void doesn’t trigger in the ocean, or at least at beaches in relatively shallow water, because my brain can understand that there’s a floor even if it’s like 30 feet down, when i clip out of a video game and it’s an infinite fall that genuinely makes my fucking skin crawl
Thalassophobia? Play it in VR ^^ 7:00 lol OMG xD 13:13 Wait why you quit here? It wasn't really scary. Does thalassophobia works in space? There's some similarity, right? 24:41 No, you were extremly lucky xD Gg for scanning him here ! Really ! 1:01:35 Gg here too ^^ (wait, i was watching more than one hour of the video? Didn't even noticed). It was one of the best movie i've seen so far! Thanks :D
I tried the game but was too scared to go passed the mushroom forest cause I met a warper that warped me out of my seamoth odd thing was I wasn’t infected so this confused me very much
Since release? Apparently a fair bit. They've got a boss rush mode as well as the option to make alterations to your game before playing to make it harder etc.
i have thalassophobia and i looove subnautica!! its horrible for me, i have panic attacks sooometimes, but i love the games so much. theyre so beautiful, the story is fun, and as much as i piss myself playing, i love the idea of a totally alien planet thats mostly water. the ocean, large bodies of water, are scary to me because 1) anything that lives in it will be quicker than me by principle. 2) im sure there are many many terrifying things that we couldnt even imagine or comprehend at the bottom of the ocean and thats terrifying. anyway, just found you on my fyp!! its way more fun playing games thatre right on that edge of too scary, like the forest! terrifying, so hard to play alone, but super fun. its really nice watching someone play one of my favorite games and also have the fear i do.
if you get a chance can you explain dash cooldown. it is one of the most import mechanics in the game. and it sucks that their is no visual of when it is ready or not. in this video it looked like you dashed in the air was able to jump and then dashed again. i found this surprising. you used this to navigate through the trap room flawlessly.
for the longest on this game I thought I had to actively use my dash to activate heirloom when in reality it is just a get out of jail free card every 30 seconds. it blocks 1 hit then de activates
how fun. a game someone's chat played through their streamer. this whole video is people backseat gaming, telling you where to go and what to do. no fucking wonder you never found any other biomes or wandered near the edge of the map.
Chat only helped me maybe 2-3 times directly throughout the entire game. One was pushing me to go to the island but not spoiling anything about it. Another was telling me where I had to get the Cyclops Shield Gen as I couldn't finish the game without it. Lastly they helped me resolve some bugs I ran into. They never spoiled anything else. Otherwise they would have told me to go to the Grand Reef earlier. I did end up going off the map once while searching for the island again. But I was in my Cyclops traveling on the surface (to see the island) and got the PDA to mention I was entering the ecological deadzone. I turned around as I figured out of bands was bad. But nothing happened.
This video is great, it you really show what it feels like. I love this game but have such fear playing it this was really fun thank you for this amazing video. :)
I’ve had Subnautica for about 2 years, but I was way too scared to play, even in Creation mode. Watching this video helped me get over a few of the fears that held me back from playing, and I’ve been playing for almost 3.5 hours now. Thank you for helping me overcome a little bit of my thalassophobia <3
So proud of seeing Beels getting big on youtube. Beeing here since the early streaming days. Keep going my dude! Youre getting better and better each video!
