I just bought a 555 proffessional thinking it was an xp. Runs great. Tons of power. Smooth and looks great. Was $780 out the door. For that price i wish it said xp but not disappointed after using it. I used my buddies 550xp this spring and fell in love with it but wanted sometging a tad bigger for my 1 saw plan to buck up wood on clients properties, fallen trees and fell meduim sized trees.
Interesting is that I’ve got a tank through it after build. With gasket delete, it had 175psi cold. After running a tank it pulls 200, before the old rope broke. I’m putting the decomp back on! After I fix the rope 😊
@M2theBchainsaws What was squish before and after delete with stock piston vs. Gulf? Maybe Gulf has larger windows and is taller? More intake timing, along with rich fuel & mixture, obviously, will add more sealing/compression reading, but probably minor....I'm sure you know that. I'm just curious 🤔. I have a 385 I'll get to someday. Thanks Mike!
If I I’m having a hard time getting the carb to pass a pressure test and I feel I’m in pretty good shape on the metering lever, I’ll do this. It does a good job cleaning the varnish from the valve seat.
I also used a meteor piston on the 266 I built. With a gasket delete and a couple of tanks of fuel, it had a comp reading of around 208psi. Gasket delete on your saw?
Motor çok güzel görünüyor bu makineyi nekadar zamandır kullanıyor sunuz bugün bende bir 550 xp aldım sizbu motordan ayrica karbüratör ayarı filan yok bir sorun olduğunda nasıl giderilir iyi akşamlar saygılar from türkiye
Thanks Brett. The stock looked like it was running rich, looking at the exhaust. Maybe should have made a tuning cut for the auto tune first. I just let it warm up. Kevin did the work. I tried to show that during the video but I guess that part didn’t stand out enough. Good feedback!
I sold the saw a couple years ago so I can’t check for you, sorry. I got it out of scrap metal pile, fueled and what you see in the video is what I got. I regret selling it
Nice lineup of rippers!!! Lovr my 550. Best 50cc saw available. Just gotta not bury it and keep chain sharp. Once warranty is up definitely getting it ported. The 572 is next on the list for sure. The new 562 Mk2 is coming out soon. Looking forward to seeing reviews. Thanks for sharing
Ought to send these to Joe's and have em dyno'd to see what they're putting out. My 3 saw plan: 550xp mk2, 572xp, 592xp and all but the 592 have been ported by Joe and dyno'd
