What glue did you use to attach the foam board to the wood?
@DogDadBuilds
@DogDadBuilds 8 дней назад
I used Gorilla Glue Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive. It’s held up really well so far, no issues with the bond.

Tell me how to get the drain plug from leaking ? 😔
@DogDadBuilds
@DogDadBuilds 19 дней назад
@@tayaria7280 get some PTFE Plumber's Tape and wrap it around the threads a few times. If it’s leaking from the threads, that should stop the leak.
@tayaria7280

@@DogDadBuilds tried that still leaks. The wholes I drilled and put bulk heads in don't even leak just the one drain plug one it came with how crazy
@DogDadBuilds
@DogDadBuilds 18 дней назад
@@tayaria7280 dang. Maybe you can ditch the original plug and do a PVC setup with a ball valve shutoff. Get a male PVC adapter that threads into the stock tank. Then attach a ball valve/shutoff valve after it to replace the need for a plug. It might have a better connection and seal it.
@tayaria7280

@@DogDadBuilds Ended up getting a different plug on the original fitting. Added another rubber washer on the outside part. Both from tractor supply. It's holding now. I had to get everything insanely tight and use Teflon tape as well.

Damn you’re gonna have to dump and clean that tank so frequently without a filtration system.

How cold does it get with the gallon jugs?
@DogDadBuilds
@DogDadBuilds 2 месяца назад
@@chrisz.9974 this time of year, about 8-10 gallon jugs to get it cold enough. It would likely require less if I kept it off the concrete, shaded, and insulated.

How did you hook up chiller/filter with the 1 1/2 in drain plug? I have a penguin chiller. The one hose has to go thru that bottom drain.
@DogDadBuilds
@DogDadBuilds 5 месяцев назад
I don’t have it hooked up with a chiller and filter yet. During the winter months I was just using ice/frozen water jugs and I’d drain it weekly and use that old water in the garden. I’m not sure which route I want to go with it yet. How do you like the penguin chiller?
@Vinnybfnaf
@Vinnybfnaf 5 месяцев назад
@@DogDadBuilds I think the penguin killer is great but I was looking for a hack on how to connect it through that one and a half inch drain pipe on the bottom because the filter goes on on top but the other hose goes through the bottom

How long is the pvc in the center between the cross junctions
@DogDadBuilds

From the 4 way cross fitting the vertical PVC pieces are about 5-5.5” & the horizontal ones are about 4.5” each side

@RowdyDadMTB
@RowdyDadMTB 7 месяцев назад
Was that two inches you measured?
@DogDadBuilds
@DogDadBuilds 7 месяцев назад
It was around 2.” It was just the width of the top lip of the Rubbermaid and I subtracted that measurement from the line I traced on the outside edge. If you cut it too small and it fits loosely in the tub, you can run a few laps of duct tape around it to snug it up before you cover the foam up with a liner/cover

Hey there!! Your video raised an important question regarding my hobby. So I have a 12mm thick 10cmx10cm pinewood, and I need it to 6mm thick. I do not want to use a planer for some reasons. Will using a router like you did with that pattern, but instead of just routing the pattern, I would rout the whole 10cmx10cm till 6mm, would that be a good idea?? Thank you in advance!!
@DogDadBuilds
@DogDadBuilds 11 месяцев назад
You can use a router to thin it down, but you’d likely get a much more accurate cut with a miter saw or bandsaw. Good luck!
