My channel is to pay homage to 50 years of the most influential band on the planet, spawning millions of followers and the best Metal on the planet! BLACK SABBATH!
Mannn your tone is perfect !!! And love your sabbath collection in the background ! Im 17 and its been 2 years since i started getting into sabbath and now its everything to me, best band forever and ever. Love your collection in the back, keep sharing your talent and passion !
I played Behind the Wall of sleep on my bass then I found your video and just jammed with you. I need to find people to jam with damn it. Nice guitar, rig, sound and playing 👍🤘
Damn, I need to check out more from the Dio era. Thanks for sharing these awesome covers! Unrelated, but how would you rank the TI Laney Boost, War Pig Rangemaster clone, and Walpurgis for Tony tones? I’ve got a Walpurgis already, but was curious about other two (or any other options) for driving the amp’s input. Thanks!
Walpurgis is great and I’m actually using the TI Boost with my Laney TI15 in this video. Don’t waste your time with the War Pig, that dude is a con. Thanks for the kind words!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thanks man, I really appreciate it! My solo sucked and I missed a couple transitions the first time I recorded it. Much happier with this vid. Still took me a few tries to get a good take.🤣🤘🏻
Absolutely the best sabbath covers! That tone is exactly like the album and that epiphone sounds amazing😍💯 love sabbath love jamming all of their songs. Happy that i came across your covers.
Awsome stuff! I can’t tell which amp your using cus I don’t see any of them being plugged into but Tony used a Laney Klipp head on this album and beyond but the original supergroup live, the klipp is super high output and is known for setting itself on fire from the tubes heating up check out Rick beattos video on the tone
No, I prefer the Gibson. But I’m in a bit of a pickup dilemma with the Gibson at the moment. I had a set of Jaydee monkey pickups that I put in the Gibson but wound up not caring for them. But when I had them installed in the Gibson, I had the bright idea of putting the Gibson pickups in the Epiphone. I pulled the Jaydee pickups back out of the Gibson and sold them to a friend. I have another set of Jaydee Monkey pickups in order with some different specs so I’m praying those deliver the tone I’m after when I get them.
🤣🤣🤣💀 Yeah so the Gibby is down at the moment with the pickup flu. Having some woes finding the right pickups for it. I have another set of jaydee pickups on order but not sure when they’ll be done. I actually have the Gibson P90’s in the Epiphone now so at least that monkey sounds good.
@ACE-hv5sw I think so. I like the tone better. But that’s just me. If you’re happy with the Epiphone P90’s, by all means stay with them. Tone is highly subjective in my opinion.🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Having watched your videos for so many years, what maybe stands out most with these latest videos is your comfort level and improved soloing. You've moved past the novice phase and are really living inside these songs - as in, you're making them your own, as opposed to being timid and hesitant. There's no better example of this than NIB, where you're just in command of the rhythm, fills and solos. It's great, man. The solos on Wasp/Sleep as well - great. It's so much different than before. Don't for one second think you've stagnated or haven't improved enough. There is definite, obvious improvement in all phases of your playing, as well as overall video sound. And improvement in your command of the instrument also helps you squeeze out even better tones. The vibrato and fluidity in the solos stands out to me. It's more natural now, makes your lines sound warmer, more real, less paint-by-numbers 😎✌🏻🎸✝💀🤘🏻 ⌛🖤🙏🏻 Fast shipping, product as described, would do business again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Copy-paste the comment I made on the War Pigs video here, too. Love it. You're owning this song. It's one of Tony's greatest doom riffs of all time - to me, at least - and you're all over it. Great transition into and back out of the jazz part, too. The Epi is kicking ass, sounding as good as its big brothers on the wall to my old ears. Five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (I've been doing so much eBay selling lately that everything I write anywhere turns into "feedback", heh)
Dunno if I've mentioned this elsewhere, but these videos have so much better overall sound now. It's a great mix here where we can hear Oz and the band clearly and also still hear your guitar clearly with it. Your sound and playing on this is particularly great. You seem more comfortable and in-the-pocket with this than, say, the Paranoid cover (not that Paranoid isn't good also, but you know what I mean). But that's just my perception; I don't necessarily live in the world of reality all that much. I love your soloing on this. It captures the dark mood and atmosphere so well. You were born to play this. Ya know, maybe. Whadda I know? You might've been born to hunt sharks. Who can say, right? But I do know it's inspiring how you locked into Tony's feel and odd timing and those little trilly tricks he does. Five stars. Would recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Epiphone love. Sounds killer. Good to see more videos from ya, but damn - you're usually the deep cut Sab guy. Paranoid? War Pigs? Iron Man can't be far behind, haha. But yeah, good stuff ✌🏻✌🏻
