I’m playing a John Birch which is the guitar Tony used to record a lot of the Dio era stuff.

@@remembertheblacksabbath Yes that is a particularly great looking guitar, plus it has the trem bar. The guitar has that almost nasally sound that features in Iommi’s tone. I have the Iommi 15watt practice amp and Black Country Customs Iommi peddle, but I think I would need the JB pickups get the tone you have.

@@FizzzieCat so John Birch was sold to a new owner early last year. Laz, the one who built my John Birch’s (I have a monkey on the way) had built the John Birch’s for 28 years or so up to the sale of the business. I believe Jaydee is either going to be providing input or maybe even building the guitars as well. They’re supposed to be starting up production again later this year if you’re interested in one. That being said, Laz is still building pickups and guitars under his own name and he swears his new pickups even nail the sound closer. I’ll give you his email in case you want to hit him up for some pickups. The TI15 is a great little amp! I want to scoop one up for collector purposes.

@@remembertheblacksabbath I was just about to buy some pick ups through eBay, but John Carling retired when I was about to buy. I see John Diggins has the company according to the website. I now have the Gibson Iommi Signature SG Special released last year, but has standard P90s. I’d like to keep that standard and get some replacement pickups for my Epi.
