I had a 69 suburban 12 with a mower deck, sickle bar mower, and hay rake. My wife scrapped it while I was at work while we were moving to a new residence... I nearly divorced her over it..

I played a show with copus and Lazy Jim back in about 1979. He droped copus's guitar and borket on stage, loaned him my and the show went on Jim was a funny guy

just getting around to reading this stuff again. ummmmm Lazy Jim Day died either shortly before I was born or shortly after, which was in 58, so you have your stories wrong.

Where do you get parts to rebuild these?
@EDHd58
@EDHd58 8 лет назад
The machine shop that rebuilt it used Egge as their supplier, BUT they didnt have the correct valves and guides. I think i got them from Mac's. the parts are readily available EXCEPT for the oil pump. I could not fine internal gears for that and had to have the pump body machine to get the side clearance to spec. oh, the valves that I bought are intake or exhaust specific, I dont know if that matters, but they were.

Hi. Looking for the lyrics to "Travel On Little Pony". I think it was the theme song for Lazy Jim Day's radio show about 1940.

Festus. The reverse is a 2nd pulley that rubs against the belt when you pull back on the directional lever. It has a 2nd lever for speed

Funny young about that little tractor. Out can set all winter and after just a tad bit of gas in the carb start and idle on the 2nd pull

I have to spin this at a very high rate of speed before it will pick up water, which should be easier than oil. I am at a loss on how to fix it. you can't just go but a new one, it's part of the front main bearing cap.

Excellent barn find. I'm curious on how the reverse, and the differential work. I have a few of the two wheel David Bradley's (one with reverse), and they have the ratcheting wheel hubs that make up for the diff. How does it work on your tractor?
