Fashion filmmaker based out of The Netherlands, I make gear reviews, comparisons and tutorials. I also talk a lot about my fashion related content. We are focussing on all people creating video content and of course on brands that might have in intrest in learning a couple of things about creating for their (fashion)brand.
Misschien een domme vraag maar als je de Hasselblad in zwart wit gebruik zie je dan voor dat je de foto maakt het resultaat op het scherm en in de zoeker ook in zwart wit?
2:47 I was hoping that the handle receives power from the ring and that battery isn't necessary, as long as the handle is mounted on the ring and the ring has power...
It will receive power without the battery. As long as the ring is powered by the DJI battery or a v-mount via the plate the handles will turn on. I didn’t know it at the time but the battery option is for use without the ring.
You can make it work. However camera’s like the c70 & fx6 make shooting interviews way easier. Think about audio, focus, data size alone. I have done plenty of interviews with the RED raven and komodo. Some even longer than 2 hours haha. It was those long interviews that made me buy a c200 way back haha.
I don’t think so. The wireless transmitter from this ring can’t be connected as the rs3 has no pins. Maybe the basic ring will work as it only provide power no connectivity.
Raven has a thousand times more cinematic image that's what matters, the low light problem we solve. This low light problem is characteristic of the analog cameras that you deify so much
It worked, thanks for the tip! I don't understand why you can't just select a bunch of timelines and right click and say "Add to Render Queue"...that would be so easy to implement. BLACKMAGIC ARE YOU LISTENING?
Yes, exactly, I do miss that as well in the beginning. Now using this method for a long time I do like it more and more. How ever the Render que shortcut will be a glorious addition if it ever arrives haha.
in 2020 the best camera for photography for prints!!! Was Sony A7rIV ! 62 mpx, 10 frame/sek with very good autofocus. I know EOS-R in compare with Sony A7rIV there was ..... entry level.
Bought my Raven in 2016 and am still rocking it out. I still think the image quality is better than a lot of newer cameras out there. The Komodo almost looks too video-y for some reason.
That dragon sensor has something magical for sure. I now shoot a lot with canon now and it makes me appreciate the raven sensor even more. Komodo might indeed miss that magic for some reason, even tho it’s amazing 100%.
Hi! Sorry for the late answer. I personally have three batteries. I only need two most of the time but it’s great to have enough. The brand I use is Profoto, mainly the A2 with the connect-n is a very lovely combo.
Hey! Glad you liked it! En, ja man! Ik ben een Nederlanders haha. Ik overweeg om ook eens wat video’s in het Nederlands te gaan doen. Misschien wel goed om wat meer NL creators the hebben.
I was thinking the same thing. I just don't want to buy the RS4 pro so that's why I didn't make any video's for it. In regards to my trusty RS3 pro I don't know if it offeres me enough to upgrade you know.
At 2:00 you do not explain what "this' is that you are saying "it fits". Also at 1:28 you put on a transmitter, but for video for head control? Please explain. Thank you.
Peter do you have an issue when using your hassy in a dark room with strobes? I find my sassy camera has a hard time finding the subject in dark unlike using my canon camera.....
It's quite bizar right? But no, this is in fact not the r2. The fact that the rs2 can do this is quite special. Now I wouldn't say this is a great setup tho. the R2 will be way better with a camera package like this one.
Got 2xc70 and a R5c and R3 for photos.. they are amazing cameras... but I hate that Canon make us get one camera for portraits... another camera for shooting photos of sport or movement... another for video if you want build in NDs.. another if the video camera should be full frame with build in ND :P HATE THE CANON WAY of making cameras... i have 4 cameras to do my work :P And no C-log 2 in all their cameras so its now super easy to match the different cameras straight away if not filming in RAW first :P But just get two c70 cameras.. and one R1 ;) then you can do everything.. I think
Good shout, as a matter of fact I'm following the R1 closely (also hoping that the amazing R3 will be cheaper then). I'm very happy with Hasselblad for in the studio but some of my commercial has a lot of movement (cars, moving people) and the Hasselblad just can't keep up.
@@PeterBaerveldt Yeah me 2 :D hehe but its most out of facination of what kind of sensor they are gonne make this time.. because if it is actually 33 MP its gonne be the best 33 MP sensor en the world if canon is gonna put it in the flagship camera :) thats for sure. Im plenty happy with the setup i have now.. im just a little sad that you have to get two C70 if you want a A and a B angle without a lot of fuzz in post when colorcorrectiong and grading. And its an easy fix.. Canon knows their colors.. if they make the correction luts on their website look alike in "C-log3, cinnegammut - to - Rec 709 Wide DR" it would all be fixed :P and you could just film in c-log 3 on the R5C and the C70 and when corrected it would be the same colors.. just annoying.. its the same camera brand.. Everything is perfect if you film in RAW all the time, then its easy to match.. but I dont :P Hasselblad and Leica.. just love the colors.. even from the older of their cameras.. they just make magic stuff.. but i earn my bread and butter from video :) cant spend the money if it cant record good video.
I tried this but i added sequnces and because i was exporting a sequence (nested) it would screw up the audio and stuttering. have you found out a work around for this?
Blows my mind that we still don't have native support for tethering in LRC nearly 3 years later... As an aside, running LRC on my M1 Mac Book Air is very fast. I barley notice a different from running on my Windows PC which is an Intal 11900 with RTX 3080TI. However, once you look at tethering it's another matter and I can't imagine it's the MBA's problem. Makes me think it's Rosetta because even my old 2017 Surface Pro didn't have these issues tethering... The tethered experience on the M1 Mac (MBA) is beyond sluggish. Meanwhile tethering to the same camera in LRC on my PC is night and day difference. On the PC , the live view is live and instant, changes to exposure settings are instantaneous applied on the camera. Meanwhile on my M1 MB it's sluggish. The Live view is maybe 1 frame every 2-3 seconds if that. Changing a setting can often take 1-2 or more seconds before it registers on the camera. Very strange because LRC runs very smoothly otherwise. Is it an M1 MBA issue? RAM? My Surface Pro 2017 edition does have 16GB, while my MBA is stuck at 8GB but everything else on it runs very fast. I can try to install the Nikon Webcam software and see if that makes a difference. That or try my old Canon 5Diii.
Hi! Nice video! Have you experienced problems with the joystick on the handle? Mine broke a few days ago and Tilta doesn't seem too eager to replace it.
I've lost both so far. At first I did put it back (mine didn't brake) but as the came loose I've now lost them on a production I think. It's not great but I just use it without the joystick. I don't use the sticks much anyways so it's not a huge problem for me right now.
@@PeterBaerveldt The problem for me is now that it drifts to the left after the joystick breaks, so as soon as I start the rig the camera start spinning :(
I've been using it for about a week and can't get comfortable wearing it. I keep putting way too much strain on my back. I've adjusted every which way, and I just get fatigued after an hour of use. What tips do you recommend? I use a tilta advance rig/ronin 3 Pro with an external monitor.
I did have the same experience. I now train my core and lower back combined with squads. I gained the muscle I missed for operation and standing all day. Now it's a better experience. Your body need to get just to the way the weight is distributed. At least for this worked in the long run :)
There is another way (maybe faster and easier?) to do a batch export of all your selected timelines if you want them all to have the same setting per batch export. In Deliver panel, make an export preset that you wish to apply to all these timelines. To keep things organised, it's a good idea to delete all Render history in the Render Queue. Then in your project bin, select all the timelines you want to batch export, control-click them (while they are all selected) to get the contextual menu, then select Timelines>Add to Render Queue Using>(your chosen preset). Go to the Deliver panel, you will see all your timelines in the Render Queue. You must select all of them to see the "render all" button active, then click it. Depending on your machine power, the batch output goes pretty fast. I’m on an M1 Apple laptop with DaVinci Resolve Studio 18.6.5. It takes me 25min. to export 1 hour worth of content.
My rigged G2 was $5k; My rigged Red was $26k. All used prices. Easy choice, unless you're rich, then just get both and you can afford to give one away to a movie student. Then again, if you're rich, money doesn't matter, so just buy digital Panavision or Arri. Why not? For the rest of us, money matters. Love my G2, especially since I figured out how to make rolling shutter a non-issue.
Glad to hear you worked out the rolling shutter. I think the G2 is still, for a cinema camera, the best value for money. And even the Full Frame 6k isn't that badly priced and for the people that like rigging the Pyxis is going to be amazing. BMD is right now killing it and I love to see it. When I need to move from my Komodo to another camera BMD is right now number 1 on the list to check out. I thought it would be Komodo-X but that price point tho😭
