I bought the Canon C70 for the second time.. Let me explain

True! Plus, the end result matters most. Not the tool you make it with. Something I really find difficult sometimes.

It'd be cropped though. Too bad there are very few cropped lenses compared to Sony E mount.

@@frankfeng2701 True! That's a bit of a let down by canon. With EF there are luckily a lot more options.

@@frankfeng2701 Canon is bring out fullframe cinema and mirrorless cams in 2024. I hope they have global shutters. If not I may have to rethink Sony as they are innovators. That FX3/6 may get global shutters in future iterations

DGO sensor is indeed amazing! Coming from RED's RAW the DGO sensor was not specifically a 'main' point for me when buying the c70 but it is worth a shout out 100%. Thank you for mentioning it here.

Good shout, as a matter of fact I'm following the R1 closely (also hoping that the amazing R3 will be cheaper then). I'm very happy with Hasselblad for in the studio but some of my commercial has a lot of movement (cars, moving people) and the Hasselblad just can't keep up.

@@PeterBaerveldt Yeah me 2 :D hehe but its most out of facination of what kind of sensor they are gonne make this time.. because if it is actually 33 MP its gonne be the best 33 MP sensor en the world if canon is gonna put it in the flagship camera :) thats for sure. Im plenty happy with the setup i have now.. im just a little sad that you have to get two C70 if you want a A and a B angle without a lot of fuzz in post when colorcorrectiong and grading. And its an easy fix.. Canon knows their colors.. if they make the correction luts on their website look alike in "C-log3, cinnegammut - to - Rec 709 Wide DR" it would all be fixed :P and you could just film in c-log 3 on the R5C and the C70 and when corrected it would be the same colors.. just annoying.. its the same camera brand.. Everything is perfect if you film in RAW all the time, then its easy to match.. but I dont :P Hasselblad and Leica.. just love the colors.. even from the older of their cameras.. they just make magic stuff.. but i earn my bread and butter from video :) cant spend the money if it cant record good video.

During a typical campaign shoot almost none, besides some interview content and BTS on set maybe. Nothing that the Komodo couldn't handle.

Funny fact is i switched many cameras in the last 3 years: s1H, c70, c200, fx30, fx3, fx6, fx9...Now i have a komodo and a c300markIII. Sure, Sony is AF stellar, good DR, many function, S1H was full of video specs but lame hdmi delay and rolling shutter but in the end the image and the look is what matters and canon colors and what red raw can dom Sony does not....so actually in the process of selling all my Sony gear. That was an expensive journey but glad i did it....@@PeterBaerveldt

I recently did and you are not wrong indeed. The FX3 is amazing.

The C70 also shoots raw internally.
