Thank you! I have a lot of fun doing the backpacking trips and the editing. Thanks for your comment and support. :) I loved this area. I hope you make it out there soon.
Absolutely love it Cary. Your shots are always so clean and the composition is so tranquil and presents nature from the most beautiful side with every frame!
Hey Cary, thanks for the video! Do you think I can find accomodation without having a reservation in every town during the route? My starting date will change according to the weather forecast. Thanks again!
Hi! Will you have camping gear in case you can't find accommodations? In Theth there are many options, so likely fine without reservations. Same with Plav, but not sure about the smaller villages. Difficult to say.
Great guide. I skipped on most of the actual route details for now, but will definitely be coming back here if I end up hiking this trail next September. Thanks a lot! :)
Thank you for your video. I've watched it in preparation for my tour des Ecrins last week. I've finished in almost 5 days. Especially my 4th day was hard, when I went from La Chapelle en Valgaudemar to refuge de la Muzelle. I remember you telling about a steep climb, and was waiting for it to come, but unfortunately it came at the end of an already though day. I appreciated that you mentioned you used a filter, since I bought one and I've found use for it as well on the trail.
5 days..wow! That is really impressive. I'm happy to hear you found the video useful. I like getting feedback. Take care and I wish you the best for any future treks.
Hi Cliff. I don't think there is a full route on AllTrails. I made my own map. This is most of my route, starting and ending in Theth-www.alltrails.com/explore/map/peaks-of-the-balkans-ca75910 Thank you for subscribing and leaving a comment. It means a lot to me. :-)
@@CliffHall-tv1mo Best to take other routes in Kosovo. My route will take you on roads, and that wasn't fun for me. Best to stay higher up after ascending the highest peak in Kosovo.
I’m very happy to hear that. It’s a wonderful area, and I hope you have a pleasant time. I appreciate you watching and leaving some feedback. Take care.
Cary, as promised, I’m following up after meeting you on the Wonderland Trail this week. Just checked out your channel and I’m blown away! Spectacular cinematography! Can’t wait to see what you captured in Washington this week. Thanks for making these videos and sharing them with the world. Safe travels!
Hi Tom! I hope you and your wife had a lovely finish to your Wonderland circuit. Congrats! Though brief, it was nice chatting with you both times around the loop. Thank you for the kind words. I look forward to sharing what I had the privilege of seeing later this year. Take care and I hope you both enjoy your time living in Seattle.

Hey Cary, nice meeting you on the trail below Enchanted Valley the other day. I'm enjoying checking out your videos of the amazing places you've traveled.
Hey Brad! I just finished the Wonderland trail. I have service again. It was great chatting with you. I hope your last few years before retirement go well. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it. 🙂
I rarely walk with water. I filter with a katadyn befree water filter, so I stop and drink at the water source. Sometimes water sources can be a little far apart and that’s when i’ll carry up to 1L.
Really impressive! I am the guy that you gave your account name at the Grand Teton yesterday. I did the bright angel trail 11 years ago. Wonderfull video! You inspire me to do the same hike but I think it's to hard for me. 😅😅😅
Thanks for how to hike video. As mentioned I’ll do this trail this September. Subscribed to your channel to have a look at your other videos. You’ve done some great hikes. I did the GR20 in September 2022. Peaks of the Balkans next year. All in preparation for the big one in 2026. The Great Divide Trail in Alberta/British Columbia, Canada.
Oh wow, I just missed you on the GR20. I went around the middle of October 2022. Looks like you have some excellent hiking trips planned. Thank you for subscribing. 😃
Thanks for the video. I’ll do the GR54 this September. Planning for 10 days on trail, aiming for 9. Did you find it hard to find tent spots? I’m not planning to make any reservations.
Hi Cary, very useful video. Any idea where I might be able to get a gas canister (the screw one)? I thought this was a common thing but last year in Madeira it was a nightmare to get one. Cheers.
Such great views of my Peru, thank you for putting this together as well as the information. I work in tourism in Peru and to be able to check out such accurate info makes me so happy, thank you Cary!
It equally makes me happy to know that you found the video useful. I love Peru. I hope to return again one day. I really appreciate you watching. Take care.
Thanks for the information. I was planning to this route (from Le Chabel to Zermatt) toward the end of August, but a bit worried to see that you were hit by the snow that time of year! Maybe I'll have to head to the Pyrenees or something instead haha
Haha, yeah, that was two years in a row that I ended up in snow in Switzerland. In 2022 it was around mid September. 2023 was end of August. Wherever you end up, hope you have favorable weather.
Beautiful video! Amazing edit and sound design 😍 You deserve waaaayyy more views and subs! Keep on doing what you do 🙏 Greetings Deen & Alet, Hikaholics
