It appears that language is often confusing, particularly the word "colonisation". Effectively, the entire world was colonised by the first human beings, coming from Africa. We need to differentiate between settling in an uninhabited area and invading and suppressing the people in an inhabited area. Both are covered by the word "colonisation", but are entirely different. The British settled first in the Falklands and represent since then the overwhelming population of this area. That is different from the situation e.g. in India (or Argentina), where an inhabited country was taken over and the population suppressed by foreigners. Pure geographic proximity does not matter. Relevant is the population living in an area, as long assuming that it is homogeneous. Another example are the Cape Verdes, which were first settled by the Portuguese. Just the fact that - since the Portuguese inhabitants themselves brought Africans on the island and they became the majority over time - today people of African descendancy have now the overwhelming majority in that country, it became independant from Portugal, but of course it cannot be claimed by any African country.
I imagine if black Americans see this they would call it a conspiracy and false information since they think they are the only slave descendants in the world and every country should have a Black Lives Matter banner on their flag.

Just not accurate...Phenicians in approx 560 BC were navigating along west African coast and to Canary Islands. Herodotus even wrote that at least twice a Phenician crew navigate around Africa (Lybia) in 2 years. Vasco de Gama hired Arabians and Indians sailors as well So stop pretending Europeans were the discoverers. They just wanted to get their share of the business at one point...
