I think you made a fine observation about racism. Of course it exists but Germany had no history like the US or UK so it became only international with many different african or asian or american ethnics in the last 20 years coming to Germany. The older generation simply was not socialised and will not get used to it any more , I guess. I think it will become better within the next 10 or twenty years as it will be just normal, especially in Berlin and other big cities. There will be always idiots around, one just need to call them out and not give them more importance than they deserve. You are they that thex can insult you? Dope semms to be your favorite word it seems
Hi! I'm planning on applying to Sciences Po and would love to hear about your experience. I'm still deciding which program because so many interest me (I studied Public Affairs/ policy in undergrad) and just generally curious about the experience as a student there form the U.S. Should I reach out to you on Instagram?
Girl the struggle with the Philly subway is real lol. I was at city hall and the ceiling was leaking and it smelled. Ugh... It's not just pee there's always that unwavering stinch of weed smoke EVERYWHERE. But that might just be a Philly thing tho. New York and DC are much cleaner cities from what I know. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay though. My bf lives in the west of Germany in a smaller city and I've visited twice so far for 5 months total. Were you in Germany around when there was the 9 euro ticket cuz public transit is honestly not that cheap there usually. And I think youre experience might've been totally different if you weren't in an international program with other internationals. I hear all the time how hard it is to make friends and socialize in Germany so idk. Maybe Berlin's home to a friendlier open bunch lol.
The only American I have seen on the internet that doesn't think America is the whole world and actually has some perspective. Loved the way she explains where Philadelphia is in America.
just wanted to say the stickers for the cameras are used because ppl don't wanna get filmed while they are on drugs or in a more revealing outfit. the techno clubs are supposed to be a safe space so ppl can be free.
Amazing! I just got accepted to the the SciencesPo M.A Human Rights and Humanitarian Action. Trying to decide between SciencesPo and Johns Hopkins SAIS! Also, there are actually tons of internationally top ranked schools for IR in Europe. Hertie School in Berlin, London School of Economics, Hopkins SAIS in Bologna, University of Amsterdam, Erasmus University in Rotterdam, University Pompeu Fabra in Spain, Geneva School of Public Diplomacy and International Relations., Just some examples! Paris is top though.
Hello, is job experience required ?Also, I still have not gotten my official undergraduate transcript because I am graduating in the 8 of June 2023 and I am applying for my master 2023 so I can start immediately my studies there. Can I apply with the current transcript ?
Great video!!! Black American middle aged woman here. I got to live in Germany for several years and I miss it everyday- This is Why I am looking at videos about the country. You are very pretty and do indeed remind me of the daughter on Blackish. I think Berlin is ok- but I am not a big city fan. I love Bavaria. As Munich is more my flavor. I was always told that there are 2 types of Germans- City type from Berlin or Country more Bavaria in the south.
Hi, I'm a bit confused about the letter of motivation. I am applying to the Master in International Business and Sustainability and it says that only a personal statement is necessary, no mention of a letter of motivation...Thank you for your help.
Hi Jiana, I am going to apply for a master's in the same degree (and even similar concentration) for 2023 intake. I am going to apply for the first round to get the scholarships too. This video is so useful and encouraging! Thank you so much and I hope you are enjoying your days in Paris. I am looking forward to more of your vlogs in Paris. And can I add you on other social media just to ask more questions? And maybe we can also meet next year in person if I successfully get in. Hope to hear back! Best of luck with everything:)
Here we are again: the ignorance that some random dude doesent recognize the glory of a black woman from the US, but he dared to think you are from Africa. No, thats not " ignorance". Thats called "friendly" . He tried to be nice and get in contact. You ARE a minority in Germany. I mean black people from the JS. Not other black people. Do you know that Germany has one of the largest contigents of african tefugees? That there are also over A MILLION refugees in Germany. And no, they are not white, blond hait. They are mostly black and dark Its not always all about you. This attitude is actually common lin black ppl from the US.
Heyy, I really loved your video. I’m thinking of going to Berlin to do my masters and I have a lot of personal questions to ask things I can’t post on your comment section. So please if you willing to help, is there any way to contact you. Thanks 😊
