😉 You have to be a real masochist to attempt assembling the Lindberg 1959 Owens Deluxe Cruiser. To be fair, it is not an original Lindberg kit, it's originally Palmer Plastics. The kit must have been just as crude when it debuted in 1959 because the kit's quality cannot be explained by worn molds as a worn mold usually results in excess flash The four piece hull is the main headache but the whole kit is hampered by very crudely molded pieces and poor mating surfaces. You have a part installed wrong. The bottom of the motor cover (Part no. 20) is upside down. The instructions are incorrect, so simply flip that part over and it will fit together perfectly. In fact the outboard motors, which are good to very good representations of a 1959 Evinrude 50hp V-4 Starflite are the best fitting parts in the entire kit. You get two motors in every kit so they are great for kitbashing or use in other 1/25 boat models.
Alot of fun to see this. Love stagecoaches! This model is the most beautifully detailed one I've ever seen, along with incredible realism. Excellent diorama, again very realistic. Love the outlaw! The horses, too, in positions of animation, very lifelike. The human figures inside the coach are stunningly real, truly amazing, as is the outlaw. I used to assemble & paint models of NASA rockets, the Apollo spacecraft, etc., when a much, much younger fella but believe, now at least, the superb craftsmanship you've achieved here would be totally beyond me! I've been a model railroader off & on for years and, in my less sane moments, I've pondered how to do model stagecoaching! I'd want it to be fully animated, following a route on a landscaped layout, no trains, just one or more stagecoaches. For the life of me, though, I can't figure a means to accomplish this. I suppose it would have to run on a hidden track or something. I doubt there's any way to make it look like the horses are realistically running---just way too complex, I'm sure, actually impossible. I've long pondered how to do an animated steamboat layout, as well, but this is pure fantasy, also! Anyway, great video!
Thank you so much for the very kind words. It was a lot of fun to make and by your comments you "got" all my ideas like telling a story with my diorama etc. Thanks again for your review and for watching best regards Kerry
I picked one up in Ollie`s along with the Civil War cannon set.For 40 bucks each, I just couldn`t let `em sit there. Since I`m a big Western movie fan, these beauties are right up my alley..They will also test my figure painting skills. A nice change of pace from the model cars I usually build. They will look great in my man cave. Fine build, thanks for the excellent video!
Kerry I just found your channel thanks to Jeff's model garage, and subscribed. Beautiful build there my friend. Was checking out some of your videos and came across the sad one, don't mean to bring up bad memories but my wife and I are so very sorry for the loss of your wife 😢. We lost our son in 2016 so we understand the LIFE LONG PAIN that alot of people do not. Take care my friend and we're looking forward to more amazing builds.
Thank you so much for your kind words. The loss of your son or my wife is something that we both live every day and allways will. Thanks for watching my friend keep safe and may God Bless....KA
That looks fabulous Kerry. Such a shine, great paint work. Love the colour pallet too, spot on. 👍🏻 I’ve gotta try one of those larger kits one day. They Look like loads of fun.
Thanks sharing part of transportation history of the Old West. I have the Franklin Mint stagecoach. This is nice detailed model. I enjoy the Old West also re-enactor in Az, worked for brief Wells Fargo opening banks with their coach.
@@kerryadams8922 thanks for responding, As for Wells Fargo Stagecoach, I just worked with Wells Fargo displaying stage for photos. Re-enacting is separate hobby
