Alot of fun to see this. Love stagecoaches! This model is the most beautifully detailed one I've ever seen, along with incredible realism. Excellent diorama, again very realistic. Love the outlaw! The horses, too, in positions of animation, very lifelike. The human figures inside the coach are stunningly real, truly amazing, as is the outlaw. I used to assemble & paint models of NASA rockets, the Apollo spacecraft, etc., when a much, much younger fella but believe, now at least, the superb craftsmanship you've achieved here would be totally beyond me! I've been a model railroader off & on for years and, in my less sane moments, I've pondered how to do model stagecoaching! I'd want it to be fully animated, following a route on a landscaped layout, no trains, just one or more stagecoaches. For the life of me, though, I can't figure a means to accomplish this. I suppose it would have to run on a hidden track or something. I doubt there's any way to make it look like the horses are realistically running---just way too complex, I'm sure, actually impossible. I've long pondered how to do an animated steamboat layout, as well, but this is pure fantasy, also! Anyway, great video!
Thank you so much for the very kind words. It was a lot of fun to make and by your comments you "got" all my ideas like telling a story with my diorama etc. Thanks again for your review and for watching best regards Kerry
I picked one up in Ollie`s along with the Civil War cannon set.For 40 bucks each, I just couldn`t let `em sit there. Since I`m a big Western movie fan, these beauties are right up my alley..They will also test my figure painting skills. A nice change of pace from the model cars I usually build. They will look great in my man cave. Fine build, thanks for the excellent video!
Thanks sharing part of transportation history of the Old West. I have the Franklin Mint stagecoach. This is nice detailed model. I enjoy the Old West also re-enactor in Az, worked for brief Wells Fargo opening banks with their coach.
@@kerryadams8922 thanks for responding, As for Wells Fargo Stagecoach, I just worked with Wells Fargo displaying stage for photos. Re-enacting is separate hobby
Looks great Kerry! I finally got a chance to purchase the same kit. Your video is going to be a big help to me as a good reference. I like the fact that you incorporated a visual story using the horses, falling limb and outlaw. It adds so much to the finished model. I’m going to try to incorporate some of my own ideas along with yours in my build. Thanks again for the great video. It’s definitely going to make my build so much more satisfying and fun!
Thank you so much for your kind words. It is a fun kit to build and I think your idea of creating a new story is great. I had alot of fun creating the diarama. When I built the kit I did the horses first (lots of seem fixing) then the undercarage of the coach followed by the main coach. Then the figures. Then diarama and lastly the harnnessing after placeing the completed kit on the diarama. Hope this helps Joseph. Thanks again Kerry
So glad you enjoyed it yay I think a big part of the build was to tell a story so much more fun that way. Very best of luck on your build . Thanks for your kind words ....KA
I just got this kit the box was sealed it looked like a mess in side, I hope all is there. the horses are a mess, I built some models so we will see. Thanks for the video it gives me some hope.
Great job Kerry and thanks for posting this video as I just recently purchased this kit and found your video entertaining & helpful. THANKS AGAIN AND GREAT JOB
Thanks Steve yes really enjoyed building this model yay I thought the trim helped again I really appreciate your comments after seeing your work (fantastic) it means a lot to me!
I saw this kit at a deep discount at a local closeout/buyout/discount store, beside more Lindberg model kits (namely a Civil War Union army artillery, the Sea Witch ship, and a Kaiten submarine). I like this one the most and am considering buying it. I really like the video you made of the finished model, I hope the armed guard makes quick work of the bandit. 😄
Thank you so much for the kind words and watching my little video..I think you will have fun building this kit if you decide to buy it Good luck and keep safe.....KA
