Lexus dealership told me right for $1000 or a little more they can refigure the trunk so you can fit a full-size spare tire in a 350 H has anyone heard of this?
My first criteria to buy the car is reliability. The next one will be price. If a car manufacturer can make a reliable car (no need to fix the leakage or replace a part very often) like Toyota/Lexus, I will go for that.
Another quick question… I know the executive 450h+ and FSport 450h+ are the exact same in terms of power but is one any faster than the other because of weight? Or any other factor?
I do think that there will be minor differences, but not something you will see as when measuring 0-100, it depends on the driver and current situation and the difference could just be 0.1 secs. I do believe the f sport will be a tad faster because of the adaptive suspension allowing the driver to handle better.
@@lsft I went to the dealer today and changed my order to the executive package for the 450h+ instead of FSport 3. After driving the 2025 350h for the last month I’ve found the leather seats to be noticeably more comfortable and even the ride is just smoother overall. Plus the thought of no ML sound system just made sleeping at night difficult lol. It’s still possible that I might be forced into the 2026 model which might make things even more difficult to decide on if it’s a refresher year but for now my choice for the 2025 model will be Executive! 😎
I was loyal but they recently bought back my NX 350 fsport due to problems ( I emailed you about it). I tried to keep it but just a bad dealership experience and it started leaking from the passenger window.. I decided to return to my German car love, best drive!! however I always return to Lexus/ Toyota. The NX is what I got after trading My Porsche Macan.. regrets 😢 but leasing a BMW then I will return to Lexus/ Toyota ❤
love your videos and I'd love your thouhgts...I just bought a 2025 450h+ here on Vancouver Island (and YES, we need winter tires here!). I note you ditched the run flats for the winter tires? why? and did you keep runflatsfor summer? my thought is [a] OEM spec is run flat [b] if I get a flat without run-flat then I have to deal with dark / rain / traffic passing me while I compress some goo into a tire at roadside..or worse my wife or kid has to do this...I'm thinking the ability to drive somewhere safe on run flats is better? That said, I've always had "normal" tires and my last flat was on a piece of junk car in about 1990.
There are a few things I considered. I live I'm a place where having a flat, you can easily call Lexus roadside to get it towed. Typically a lot of flats is a puncture and it leaks slowly, you could get a tire inflator and get filled while you go to the tire shop and get it plugged or replaced. I've only had a flat once in the 30+ years of driving. There is also limited choice on run flat winter tires and they run out much faster. With that being said, once my original tires are done, I plan to change them to regular tires instead of run flats. A few things: normal tires have better ride quality, less noisy and lower in cost as well. However, if you want peace of mind going with run flats is definitely the better choice. As you said, your last flat was in 1990s, the likelihood is low, but you need to know what to do when it does happen
EVs are worth owning. The tech is not stabilized and it will keep on going down on price. Leasing seems to be the better option for EVs at current state
Question… I noticed a few videos on remote parking…an extension of the advanced park feature. I assume we don’t have this feature in Canada? I do have the advanced park feature in my 2025 NX350h executive package but no “park” feature in my Lexus app.
For Canada we only have advanced park. Remote park is not available even in 2025 model year. Originally in 2022, it was available. But Lexus refunded every NX owner because they were not able to release it on time for the 2022 model year.
Does the 2025 RX350 f sport get a redesigned front grill? If not, I assume it will be same as the 2024 model. I've heard yes and no, so I don't know what to believe.
You can’t avoid the panoramic roof in the recent nx450h+ builds coming from Japan. It’s a $500 “option” but the factory is building them anyways with that option and you can’t remove it. I think it’s too cumbersome to change the factory line equipment/robots back and forth to switch between panoramic and non-panoramic roofs just to cater to each buyers request…
@@MrGwang7 it depends on what country the vehicle is going to. I think they could swap with ease. Just ppl few that a premium and highest package should have a panoramic roof.
No one wants to deal with the dealers when they mark up the car $5000 with add-ons and then and then make it very hard on the customer when he says take them off I don’t want them. I never ordered them. It happens all the time people get disgusted and go somewhere else. Toyota dealers do the same thing.
Lexus should scrap both the NX and RX and build one that's in between. What is the point of having the NX that's under sized and the RX that feels too heavy ??? Having a more desirable SUV would out sell them both....
Interesting idea here. For some the NX is actually perfect sized, and they can't satisfy everybody with the different sizes. The original RX was in fact the a little smaller in size to the current NX. About 3 inches shorter and 2 inches narrower. So the NX replaced the RXs original spot and then moved into the mid size which is about 10 inches longer. So the idea size for you would be about 188inches in length, and 74 inches in width. I can see that coming as another option. I doubt they will kill off the top 2 best selling vehicle for something in between. It could have a transition to see if the middle SUV can outsell the RX and NX.
@@lsft I will say that the cover that FitCamX was not like yours though. It was just the small hole and there was no ability to cut it the tabs to make it bigger. So I wouldn't have been able to use it anyway.
Yup - Crown is a high name history for Toyota.. but now it's 4 different vehicles... Toyota seems to have lost what is Lexus and what is Crown and what is Century....
I'm planning to visit Toronto, and Niagara Falls on my upcoming birthday week( coming from the United States) How likely is Rav4 Prime to be stolen? Parking on the street, public parking lot, etc.
First thing is Happy Birthday! It's hard to say if the RAV4 Prime will be stolen or not. RAV4 is not on the top 3 list of Toyota vehicles being stolen, but you should still be cautious and take measures like adding a wheel lock just in case. There are a lot of RAV4s on the road since it's one of the best selling SUV. I don't think you should be worried too much and just enjoy the birthday week in Canada.
Thanks for the comparison, It is very helpful to see differences in video format. I noticed similar things as you that sometimes lexus spec table contains errors, they should fix that as it reflects poorly on the brand.
Yes the hybrid does not do it for me. It's the plug in the one. So I prefer the comparison of the two plug in and you already did one. In which I agree with you I will stick to the nx because at this moment in life we don't need a bigger car. But what I am curious is that here in USA we have two options. The plug in hybrid as f sport and the other as not f sport. F sport has NuLuxe seats while regular plug in they have leather seats. Which one is the one to get?
The leather seats on the non F-Sport is a bit softer and the seats are different. Depends on your built and if you like tighter seats or not. What you can do is go to the Lexus Dealership and site into the 350 with leather and 350 FSport to see which seats you prefer. Personally for me leather seats do take a little more of maintenance to prefer it from cracking over time, the material is softer overall, but the FSport Nuluxe is good enough for me as I like the tighter fit.
@@lsft thanks brother that is what I thought. So for my wife and me will go with the softer and we will go with leather. I understand the maintenance and eventually cracking in the long run because of leather but we are okay with that. We prefer to be more comfortable and softer it is for us. Thanks for the information brother.
@@lsft by the way did you ever did an oil change at the break in period? I'm at 1140 miles driven already in a month and I notice that the care care nut recommended changing the break in oil at 1k. I was like men I never knew that. So I scheduled for an oil change this Thursday at Lexus. I never done an oil change but it is something I want to learn so I can eventually do it myself. And since I have a turbo engine frequent oil change is recommended by him.
I did not do an oil change until the first one - reason for that is for the first 12 months, I've only driven about 3000 km on the gas engine and the rest was on EV only. It is recommended to do an earlier oil change so that any debris during engine build could be flushed out and reduce wear. I also recommend doing this for the 250/350 and 350h as the gas engine is used most of the time. I have not done my own oil change, but you can watch this video from another fellow youtuber where he does the 350h oil change. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QgTbSCr8DWw.html There has been a lot of debate on oil changes and how often you plan to do it. Some folks who lease their vehicles would most likely follow the Lexus recommendation 12 months/10000 miles. You could potentially leave the problem to 2nd or 3rd owners of the vehicle to deal with the change. Some owners only plan to keep the car for less than 10 years and most likely won't see issues doing it every 12 months/10k miles. But if you do plan to keep it longer and as long as possible, then every 5k/6 months would be a good idea to follow.
Mine was replaced many months ago and I was able to start charging the iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro max with no issues. Prior, it was garbage. Still slow, but at least it works.
Thank-you very much for this comparison. I have been waiting for my NX450h+ for about 18 months and was starting to wonder if I should just get an RX350h, especially since I currently drive a regular RX350. I was mostly concerned about front driver and passenger interior space. Your review was exactly what I needed and I have decided to wait for my NX. I also really like that it comes with the larger screen, and that the $5k rebate should still be available when I get it.
Hi! I just bought a lexus ux 250h 2022 and im having trouble charging my iphone 14 pro. i just checked and think that this part wont work with my model, is there a replacement part for the lexus ux 250h 2022? Thank you!
From what I found, they changed the charger from 2019 to the one you have in 2022. I don't think they have a new part for 2022. You can definitely advise the dealership that it does not work and see what they say. Many UX owners complain about how weak the charger is and it only works without a case.
I can't get over the cargo space in the "midsize" RX. It has far less space than my small CX-5. Makes no sense. Finally in a position in life to consider an RX, but that small cargo area is a deal breaker.
It's unfortunate. For some reason the Lexus SUV lineup is all a bit smaller than the competitors. If the cargo room is a requirement then the RX might not work. The slope of the back door really cuts into the cu.ft. measurements. You can put stuff up to the top in comparison to other vehicles.
@@lsftinteresting fact, we have a VW Golf Sportwagon and it has 30.4 cubic ft of room in the back compared to 22.9 in the NX which we also own. I was curious one day after coming home from a trip in the VW, which was packed full, so I unloaded it all into the NX and everything fit except one folding chair. The maths don't seem to add up... The NX almost has as much space as our VW... 30.4 cubic feet. How did they get 22.9?
You’ve missed several important points in your comparison of the NX450, once again highlighting your bias. The NX450 is essentially a stripped-down version, missing key features like a 360° camera and kick liftgate, which would require an additional $17,000. Does that seem reasonable? Are you currently driving a base model? Plus, there’s currently a two-year wait time. Are people really thinking about getting an NX450 in 2026, with no changes since the 2022 model? By then, fully electric vehicles will have progressed significantly. If your focus is just on comparing superficial aspects like seat and trunk space, there’s no need to discuss new models.
I'm comparing a Rx350h with the base NX450h+ which both do not have a panoramic view monitor. For the RX the ultra luxury trim which matches the NX450h+ executive in price has the 360 camera. So there is no bias in that sense. Unfortunately, that is how it's packaged in Canada. Unlike in the United States, they do get more a la carte options to pick. Again, this is for one subscriber who is already on the list for 2 years and should be coming soon. If you are thinking of ordering now, the RX would be easier to get. For 2026, we most likely have a mid cycle refresh and could get bigger updates. I really hope that electric cars will have progressed significantly but time will only tell in that aspect. I don't know how much it will move forward. Definitely battery technology would improve, but what would the price of the newly improved tech? China vehicles would have high tariffs and would make them more expensive.
@@lsft Imposing high tariffs on Chinese EVs limits consumer access to affordable electric vehicles, contradicting the government's goal of widespread EV adoption to reduce emissions. These tariffs keep EV prices inflated, stifling sales and hindering the transition to greener transport. Ultimately, this protectionist approach fails to protect our auto industry, which is largely owned by American and foreign companies, and instead restricts consumer choice and affordability.
@@PercyY-ib2vx Well said..... All this to protect the so called big 3 where employees make extremely high salaries and produce inferior products so we end up paying very high prices for a car that's only worth maybe half and continue paying high repair costs...
I have the NX450h+ "F" Sport....Jus bought my wife a NEW RX "450h+... I LUV THE 450h+ "F" SPORT soo much got the RX w/ same platform in Eminent White PEARL with White interior Very Elegant!!! IMO. ..,.....Soooo IMO get these models as they simply have so many more options... Indeed she is driving to Tuson AZ today and will use the " 100% charge Battery as you drive" and in Battery drive only the RX is Soooo very quiet!
I just got the option to test drive a hybrid NX. And after driving it I can honestly say I'm much happier driving my NX350 gas version (I have a 2025 Lexus NX 350 Luxury). First I notice the hybrid felt under power, and then I realize that my gas version has a stronger engine with the turbo. Second the sound that the hybrid makes like a droning noise, did not like that. The driving experience on my gas feels great compare to the hybrid version. So that is a pass for me in the hybrid with the NX. Now I did not did a road test with the plug in, but from everything you have said that is the one to get. At this moment don't have a house, so gas is the best option for me. But after we buy our house then i feel like the plug in is the way to go, especially with the bigger horse power. And yes I understand the save in gas of a hybrid but I'm spending big money on NX and I want to enjoy the drive. If i want to save money then I will go for Toyota and save a lot more on gas. So that for me is not a factor, for me is the drive and the comfortable of a luxury product. And yes I get it Lexus luxury ain't what it used to be many years ago, but in 2024 it's better then a Toyota luxury. Example RAV 4 vs NX, I prefer to spend more money on the NX for the luxury level in todays market of 2024. So Luxury with a good driving experience are it for me...and of course the reliability of Toyota/Lexus makes it all the better then any other brand for me.
I'm glad that you found the NX350 the better car for you. Definitely the NX350 is faster than the NX350h. I've driven a few NX350s while my NX450h+ is in the shop and at the end it's similar comments you made with the 350h goes for the 450h+ to the 350. The 350 has power for sure and the sound of the engine is better than the 4 cylinder on either 350h and 450h+, but the 450h+ power is definitely more over the 350 and it does feel more planted due to the heavier battery. I feel the NX350 gets too light with the power when you floor the car, but with the 450h+, the car's handling is much better over the 350. You are right, if you don't have a plug, it's better to just stick with the NX350 at this point. If the cost of gas is not something you care much, it's a great car to own. The 350h is for people who want to save on their gas bill and 200hp is enough as they just want luxury from A to B and don't need it to be fun. Enjoy your NX.
