@@Richgraphics i’m wondering if the base color im trying to use is too dark, is a good bit darker then the tan ur using so that could be the issue. thank you for the help though man!
Why fake? if you want 3D wireframes you should check this video out. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gcCcDpizNr4.htmlsi=fUJ9B2X7LyTlE7Qu
in the same way i applied the mesh to the ellipse. First create the blob style shape, then just replace top object with the mesh. You can apply the mesh to any shape.
Your videos are super helpful and easy to follow! Can you see if you can create eye-glasses with a clear plastic frame material? I would also love to see how I can create a drink bottle with a straw lid :))
I would suggest looking at the materials tab when using the 3D effects - however you need to remember Adobe illustrator is not a full on piece of 3D software so it is limited in some instance. The effect you're trying to achieve might be best done in something like adobe dimension and i highly recommend looking at a illustrator and dimension workflow - hope this helps
Can you export the mockup graphic in the new perspective as an asset or convert to paths and then use the warped graphic as it's own without the mockup image? I'd like to keep the shape of the graphic on it's own with the warp or mockup applied without the original image. Does that make sense? Sorry, it's hard to articulate.
Makes perfect sense. not sure if you can expand the appearance. although you can try it by going to "Edit > Expand Appearance" with the graphic layer selected. not the mockup image. let me know how you get on.
when i use the pen tool it automatically turns into a minus sign and deletes points. So i use the line tool but then when i go to trim, these lines dissapear. Help!
when using the pen tool, make sure your using the actual pen tool and not the remove anchor tool. before applying trim make sure the lines are expanded.
I found that is the letter is selected or the object is selected while using the pen tool it automatically makes the pen tool delete anchor points. How ever if you don't have the letter or object selected, and hover the pen tool over an anchor point it turns the anchor point square white instead of blue allowing me to add lines with the pen tool. Hope that helps you. :)
