As of the new update (September/2023) a new panel has now been added, where you can visualize your artwork on a set of curated images from adobe stock.

Can you export the mockup graphic in the new perspective as an asset or convert to paths and then use the warped graphic as it's own without the mockup image? I'd like to keep the shape of the graphic on it's own with the warp or mockup applied without the original image. Does that make sense? Sorry, it's hard to articulate.

Makes perfect sense. not sure if you can expand the appearance. although you can try it by going to "Edit > Expand Appearance" with the graphic layer selected. not the mockup image. let me know how you get on.

Hey Rich I can’t make the feature work. I want to place a vector design on a t-shirt and I have been trying different things fx. Linked image, embeded image. I am selecting both objects but the mockup function is dimmed grey. I hope you will help me. Thank you😊 Britt

try the embeded image and add a white rectangle behind it, then group them both together. Then select both the vector design group and the embeded image group and try again. i encountered the same issue when i first started playing with it, it is a bit buggy at times. Let me know how you get on

What are the steps to doing this? I have beta - but it literally does not work. I am not a novice at Illustrator either.

I explained the steps in the video. However it can play a bit funny depending on your image. It may be slightly different now as this was the first iteration of the mockup feature. From what i understand it has been changed and is now in the actual version of illustrator. You no longer need the beta version.
