As long as you have airflow, the battens will be fine. Yes, sometimes you have to get a bit creative bringing air in at the bottom -- perhaps up through the soffits. You are correct that gutters and drip edge could cover fascia holes and then they won't accomplish anything.
i found your comments about a new "genX" manager is definitely fitting me. and the requirement to establish a brand something that is a different approach I will try.
If yiu were working hard you could never get ahead. You have stopped working so you went ahead. Those are individual qualities. I dont think thise are generational trends. If you are workholic you would be individual contributor and not keep looking at others. Sounds this person is thinking everything other than doing work. Zero individual contributor and keep looking at others
Je veut bien imaginer que vous allez passer un très bon moment là bas ! Content pour vous chers Alex ! Impatient d’entendre vos commentaires! Merci du partage! Changer rien !👍👏🙏!!

What if you have poor insulation and no vapour barrier and you un block your soffit vents and add ridge vent, if your from Canada won't that make the attic more cold and cause worse condensation?
The risk of condensation is from warm moist air driving out of the living space and hitting a cool surface. If dewpoint is reached, the air contracts and moisture is forced out of it, forming condensation. Ideally, you want the attic to be the same temperature as outside and then have good insulation between the living space and the attic. This is what code requires and is for most buildings the best way to avoid condensation.
This is fantastic advice. It encourages folks to take their careers seriously. I loved the reference to building relationships with vendors and people you can learn from.
