The more I listen to Doug Polk talk, the more I can sense exactly how much he was utterly dominated psychologically by his peers growing up. He's such a whiny little bitch about every little possible thing
My Top 5 GOAT Poker Players for someone who learned how to play poker on youtube in the 2020s: 1. Doug Polk 2. Daniel Negreanu 3. Phil Galfond 4. Phil Ivey (have barely seen this other guy play everyone seems to like him though) 5. Phil Hellmuth (#1 in bracelets, #1 in eating food at the table, #3 in people named Phil)
HONEY! Honey, did you see what this guy did? He three-bet me with sevens! Get me a sandwich honey, these guys are idiots. Good list, except Doyle Brunson takes the top spot and Polk comes in somewhere in the 80s
Haha Johnny Moss or Tony G not in the list but some internet robots milking some newbs? Negreanu considered to be the best? Is this a joke? In my opinion, Phil Hellmuth and Phil Ivey are lightyears ahead of the rest based on their results and their next level approach to the game no else gets.
Will never trust a computer to deal cards right they can never figure out the algorithms so I don't look at that like I do live poker and skill play everybody knows how bad that computer can just brutally beat you when you're so far ahead of the hand and next thing you know it gives it the turn River and gives them everything online poker I've never seen so many hands hit flushes it flushes more than my toilet does
2:36:45 - Absolutely spot on. There are numerous Players that _”have an argument”_ for being “The Greatest Player of All Time”… *_Phil Ivey_*_ is ALL of those arguments._
42:00 all cult leaders, hell most manipulators, will require a follower to do something solely for the reason of breaking them. It starts small like say a phrase after i say something, stand up when i walk in a room. Allister Crowley one the worst ones, would convince his followers to sleep with their wives. Promising sith like level powers
2 years since this was uploaded & Ivey is up an additional 10mil playing against the best current players. Think he has adapted better than you guys expected to the modern game.
Yea i agree with Kane about amateurs being uncomfortable playing with stephen chidwick bc of his presence, im an amateur and im uncomfortable just watching him on tv, ive never seen him say a word or make a movement at the table except to bet or collect chips. He is the definition of the type of player that will drop tv ratings.
From everything i have listened to and read about stu ungar i completely disagree w Kane. You cant trust one source, who he doesnt even name btw, that is talking badly about a player. Also, phil ivey was asked if he could play poker against anyone in history who would it be and he said stu, that speaks volumes. Stu was a child prodigy, his biography, One of a Kind, is a fascinating read.
