@@gregatized then you should be riding a Yamaha Super Tenere ES. For those that lift big, that’s the biggest bike. Unless of course you only lift a little……..
Kudos! I'm a new member there hitting Burma twice now on a Husky 701 Enduro. Mucho repect to you throwing that bike around!!! After watching the whole video, dam, that's some riding on a big bike. Amen!!!
Awesome review! Bought myself a 2024 after having had a few traditional Harleys. I LOVE this bike. I see in a short clip you are doing a wheelie, which I want to actively avoid. lol. If I do a launch to dick around with friends in an impromptu drag race, will the traction control keep the front tire completely on the ground or does it bring it up a little bit like the BMW's do?
Thanks! I don’t think I’ve ever had the front end lift on this bike without purposely trying. Pretty sure the long wheelbase helps with that. I can tell you traction control kills the party very quickly though! I’ve tried popping wheelies with it on and it immediately slams the front end back down
Very cool to see you riding a Pan America at FRO . I ride at Burma at least once a week and I am getting a PA soon so it’s good to see what it can handle .
Does the 1250 motor have enough power to go through the woods and terrain? Do you think Harley should add a few more cc's to the motor? Too bad there wasn't a way to have front wheel drive as well.
Man that is so cool what this bike is capable of doing. I bought a 22 with 54 miles on it at my local Harley dealership. I can’t see myself beating up my Pan America like that. I bought the PAS to tour and handle the rough roads in my city. I would get beat up on my cruiser HD. The Pan eats it up lol. I’ll take unpaved and gravel roads and maybe some non-violent trails. But on single trails I use my 21 XR650L. With 13” ground clearance and 11.5” of travel front and rear it can clear a lot. But Ol’ Red is a pig 🐽 that can be handled. Good work man and that PAS is a beast.
@gregatized not gona lie they have been growing on me. Mid may I will be at TMMR and will have the opportunity to ride them offroad for a good bit of time, that will make or break it for me
@@gregatized rode my for a few hours yesterday....not like you though!! i'm vertically challenged and i decided i didn't want to pick the panny up in the woods so i bought a 701
@@Eds_PanAmcongrats on the new bike! If you haven’t already, check out “races to places”! Lyndon Poskitt does some really cool things with that bike platform in the first few seasons!!
@@gregatized dude i total agree with you there, and tbh its funny u use your vw to haul it around i was gonna use my mk4 gti for that when i get some noby tires
@@ToadADVenturesThe VW’s tow surprisingly well! It towed the pan am, grom and a bunch of camping stuff from PA to KY without any issue. Your GTI will probably tow even better, mine has the tiny turbo lol
@@gregatized tbh i was wondering how it would tow tbh think my worry was just stress on the gear box and shocks but then again its not to much more weight i suppose lol
Just got my first Pan Am. Thanks for your video; I love seeing people actually use their bikes off-road! Sorry about the radiator puncture; hopefully it wasn’t too expensive to fix.
Is it intended for single track? More enjoyable to take a light dual sport bike on these types of trails. I would have left him behind so badly on my Kawasaki or Suzuki dual sports. Save that heavy pig for the open road, open desert or logging, forestry roads.
@@fastdude2002 As intended, simply being not 100% on-road. Yes, a PA isn't built for THIS specifically, but it's not meant to be waxed in a garage either
@@gregatized nothing wrong with that. Personal choice to ride how we want. I have a KTM Adventure bike but I use dual sports or my dirt bike for single track and the KTM for exploring the National forests all around me. I do enjoy seeing you take the Harley on those trails, I’m just not tough enough to do it. 👍
@@mjcouture8935 windshield components may be a hard find . They usually get destroyed in a crash.. Harley Davidson added some parts that can be retrofitted that aleviate the shaking of the windshield
Happy New Year Greg, Awesome videos. Im always watching. I know my PA will last me a long long time as it lives on asphalt. You should be the poster child for the Pan Am. Harley Davidson are you watching ?
Wow, what a freak accident . good luck trying to do that again ! please report on repair and cost. love my 2023 Pan at 5000 miles and looking forward to many more !
I've had quite a number of adv bikes in our family (starting from my grandfather way way back in early 80s). The issues with Pan Am is pretty common with other bikes too. You want a headache, try Ducati Multi - without dealer recommended maintenance :D
I agree, love the short concise video, lots of surprises like that air filter and broken peg mount. I have already ridden BMW's but I would like one of these but man do the have a lot of problems, side stand, fuel pumps, starting, and many more but most RU-vidrs think it's still worth it. I think I'll wait until they work some of the bugs out of it.
yall should spend some of that HD money on a cheap duel sport to beat up on and keep the pan america for touring and dirt roads. i could never beat up an expensive bike like this
