Hello all and Welcome, am still getting the hang of this youtube stuff but I'm Ultra big time gamer and mega fan of all things dinos, star wars, warhammer hope you enjoy you're time here and bare with me well I'm still learning :D
For anyone saying it’s too fast, think about this: Elephants can sprint like that. T Rex was specifically designed to take advantage of the oxygen content of Earths atmosphere during the Cretaceous. It grew larger because it could and needed too because of larger prey, it had to be fast to catch triceratops off guard, and to run down edmontosaurus. T Rex should ALWAYS be the King of any Mesozoic ecosystem it’s plopped into. Not Giga, not Spino, not even Acro. Rex. Every year we learn more and more about this incredible animal, and just based off what we know RIGHT NOW, it’s the only megatheropod apart from Spino and Charcharadontosaurus that had experience fighting other megatheropods its size. It was the largest by far if ED Copes specimen is accurate, and the most deadly in combat too. An accurate Rex would be neigh unstoppable. This? This is a compromise so non Cretaceous animals can have a chance to survive.
Why's it run so damn fast??? Cant assride it, which I'm glad is a thing of the past, but how are you suppose to get away if you can't kill it? Their stam better be booty.
its leaked yesterday they are infact automaton ships, it was clear from the start, they never fire nor launch divers. they are blocky and further from human style also only appear on automaton planets
I Think Rex should be faster depending on his hunger, if its low and he's skinny he should be faster and deal less dammage but if he's well fed and bulky he should be slower and stronger. That'd be fun.
I'm a little torn on the new animations, the run for one actually looks really quite powerful which i like for the house on legs that is Rex, however the walk looks super weightless and almost, bouncy? which is really unappealing for an eight tonne animal. Also the speed of 45 kilometres per hour is certainly... something, legacy's 33 Kilometres per hour rex was not only a much more accurate speed (which I'm aware the isle isn't necessarily going for) but just felt more grounded. running around as a rex felt like I was exerting tremendous effort and in return moving as fast as physically possible, whereas here it looks like the Rex is just going for a jog. Balance-wise I'm actually less concerned, I'm sure Adult Rex will have terrible stam to compensate. On a less critical note, I'm hopeful high speeds in adulthood translates to REALLY high speeds as a juvenile or sub-adult which would be Accurate to real life, flesh out the world and make playing Rex waaaay more fun.
This reminds me of the VR Jurassic world aftermath game. Everything’s run down and left to rot. I have mixed feelings about humans in the isle, but this is pretty badass.
I really wonder what gen 2 humans can do in these areas and if they will be able to take them over and re-build them into a not so dilapidated state. I also wonder if desks, boxes, and lockers will act as storage containers. Would dinos be able to destroy them if they get inside? Humans still seem really far off from being a thing, I imagine they still will need a whole inventory system built up for them, on top of being a completely different gameplay loop than dino growth. It's just interesting that they put this much detail into the structure interiors already.
from what ive heard over the years a lot of the bases will be run down or just abandoned and some of the mercs gameplay will be gathering supplies to restore and maintain em no idea if its true but thats what ive heard
Imagine playing as a fresh spawn merc and you are looting a dark overgrown building. You hear foot steps in the darkness and are terrified not even realizing it is merely the foot steps of a hypsi lol
That little pitter patter would be terrifying since a lot of people have been playing Lethal Company.... would instinctively react as if it's a coil head.
In truth, they likely opened up more of Perimeter (the Hexadome) to build hype around the comings of Gen2s with lore, via the previous patch/hotfix. As this area was vastly different prior to that patch.
So what would you say should be the best dino? A utah? A carno? A stego? Other than maybe the giga and spino which I dont know if they'd even be in this, are comparable in strength
@@JustFun-tv5er None, all of them should have their pro and cons, rex cant be the faster and strongest or it make every things else useless to play, its basic balance, a rex should only go for slow dinos that are its size, not try to wipe the island clean like people did in legacy.
