I always love these old clips. The movie Taps in 1989 and the movie The Cotton Club in 1984 had beautiful scenes.

Grew up watching the back in the day you’d see them dancing on the street they’d say a they just shucking and jiving then it became tap dancing the best of the best on this film

Why label this "Great African American Tap dancers"??? If they were white, would you label it, "Great White Tap Dancers"??? It's idiotic. Just "Great Tap Dancers" would have been the way to go.

That was beautiful, blacks back then doing that time they were proud they overcame all the obstacles paid the way for artists today, for them to turn around and say they're oppressed no the people back doing those days they went through real racism discrimination and oppression and they Rose to the top like cream that is why it made me feel so good inside to watch them perform.

Except it wasn't sand... it was actually ground glass which made a better sound according to Danny Lewis who booked Mr. Sims for the bicentennial celebration in 1976.
