Great African American tap dancers IMPERDIBLE!!! 

I believe you should rename the video, "Worlds greatest Tap Dancers.. Period"

That was beautiful, blacks back then doing that time they were proud they overcame all the obstacles paid the way for artists today, for them to turn around and say they're oppressed no the people back doing those days they went through real racism discrimination and oppression and they Rose to the top like cream that is why it made me feel so good inside to watch them perform.

Sammy, Harold Nicholas and ALL of the Master Tappers were SUPREME!!! BLACK ROYALTY SHINING!!!

I smiled the whole way through. This was absolutely fricking amazing.

with the struggles they went through in this country and we still do, just look at this small slice what we can produce regardless of who or what tries to hold us back. And these great ones came up in the 30s and 40s when things were worse. These are masters of talent, entertainment and style.

Harold Nicholas was the bomb. He was just an itsy bit better than sammy. Him and his brother could've been just as famous as he was, but back in those days they wouldn't allow too many black people to shine at once. Such a shame , but at least we're keeping the legacy of these men alive ! God bless RU-vid.

I always love these old clips. The movie Taps in 1989 and the movie The Cotton Club in 1984 had beautiful scenes.

Grew up watching the back in the day you’d see them dancing on the street they’d say a they just shucking and jiving then it became tap dancing the best of the best on this film

Good god! This is so inspiring and wonderful, I almost can't stand it!

Absolute heaven! I saw some of these acts in in speciality spots movies when I was a kid and never really appreciated it. Now I know what these guys could do I say thank god for videos like this. And a one legged tap dancer.......you couldn't make it up! On a par with Dudley Moore's one legged Tarzan or whatever.

They should have Lamont on here from Sanford & Son, what a great tap dancer.

This video featuring the great Sammy Davis, Jr. and his hoofer colleagues in showbiz sure puts the lie to the idea that Davis was some sort of Uncle Tom just because he palled around with Frank Sinatra (himself having some redeeming qualities such as his outspoken support for civil rights) as a member of the Rat Pack. Most of Sammy's colleagues on stage probably never again made it to another big stage and telecast production like this, and Davis deserves huge plaudits for being a part of the last hurrah for these masterful tap dancers of old who, as African Americans, happened to have lived through the Jim Crow era with all its injustices and shabby treatment toward persons of color like themselves. God rest the souls of Sammy Davis, Jr. and these splendid, rug-cutting entertainers of old!

This is what people practiced but now you have to pay a million dollars to do these things. I only heard of one person which is Sammy. Get back to reality and stop overcharging and hiding for people who have money and maybe poor young people who a lot of these people probably were, can know about things like this and do something productive. Each one teach one people! I just found out about Edith Baby Edwards from watching a channel that was on.and I also found out she passed.,..I am pissed this culture was not introduced as I grew up . I just realized how great this is and you guys got me thinking only Abbey. dance is dance..smh. Tip Tap Toe shocked me too. well my son is 18 and I am going to make sure his 1 year old daughter see this video .
