I bought it for 108 at the duty free, as well as the tonka bean one and two smaller sets of different Jo Malone (s). I would say they are average but cannot really tell whether they are EDP, EDT or parfums. I know they are definitely not the last. If I were more strategic, I should have saved the purchase for a Ganymede, B683, initio side effect, or one of the Rojas like Elysium, Apex eta.
I have 3 bottles of this. It is signature scent worthy. I own over 800 bottles. This is only time I have ordered for than 2 backups. This, to me, stands out!!

Chanel fragrances are always worth the investment, they are the epitome of fine fragrance. Like a lot of them I'm never too keen on the first spray as I find them too aldehydic/ powdery but dry down beautifully. Love this one, very complex yet fresh, like walking through a late summer meadow! The iris is soooo pretty.
I fell in love with #12 and #9, ended up buying Bousval as a perfume oil and I don't regret it at all. It's a wonderful unisex scent that comes to life in hot weather and feels like you're walking through a herb garden on a sunny afternoon. Interestingly, it feels colder and more foresty in the winter, almost mossy. I think that #4's reputation as a Santal 33 dupe really overshadows the other gems in the collection.
The Violette Kew it's amazing and very therapeutically. Before sleeping sprayed a few sprays on my neck and I wake up happy and can breathe good. I suffered a little bit of asthma. Maybe the Cumin or Cardamom helps me to breathe better. So it's lovely to smell it and also a medication for me. I love it Violette Kew ❤ thanks for the niche interview. Greetings from Holland
I surprisingly really like Uncut Gem and see what they were going for but I do wish it had more roughness, more “uncut-ness” perhaps with more leather, more incense! I think it could have been done and still been appealing to the general public.

In the range of the Hermes cologne my favourite was "Eau de Narcisse Bleu". I loved it. it breaks my heart they discontinued it! Maybe not a classic kind of cologne, but it wasstunning in my humble opinion.I also like Guerlain's "Eau de cologne du coq".
Wow pleasantly surprised to see this video at this time. I saw recently smelled the aqua allegoria line for the first time at the airport last month. I liked them. So I got samples of the ones that were a hit to me - Mandarine Basilic and Rossa Rossa EDT to try it on my skin. So far loved it and got full bottle of the Mandarine Basilic Forte. They are really very close EDT and EDP. There's a little bit more weight in the forte and I was hoping that it would have more longevity.
There are so many beautiful teas that smell like a perfume in themselves (particularly oolongs). I have always felt disappointed with tea perfumes falling short. Much like gardenia perfumes never reaching the divinity of the actual flower.
Good cons do start with truth before veering off into the ridiculous. Scents have been used for millenia for spiritual and healing purposes. The creative artistic process can feel like an experience of the divine. And this makes the brand story all the more cynical when they slap it on the derivative aromachemical mess.
La Belle au Bois Dormant Is the French version of Sleeping Beauty. Not sure why the French title is what it is though - possibly because the princess used to sleep on some sort of a wooded bed?
No for Celine they have 100ml and 200 ml. I bought the travel spray of Zou Zou and I want the 100ml now so pretty and sweet and vanilla 🍨 and delicate and feminine beautiful! reminds me of a version of black tie. They don’t have iris in them they all have Oris 😅🥰

You probably already understand this and this probably wouldn't be right for all brands but sharing from my experience - the description isn't same as the brief. Not always at least. The reason for this isn't to retro fit things but brief is often more elaborate, layered and contains more than just inspiration part. A lot of things can evolve or change during the process as well. Description - well ideally in my mind - has to wrap up all of that in a cohesive narrative plus make it relevant for the end user. For example - me creating a scent in memory of my mother isn't exactly relevant to everyone else but what can be relevant and relatable is the process of grief, finding comfort in memories and seeking warmth of a loving relationship to last forever.
Ah regarding the nose working on the Celine, it was confirmed by a staff member there are 3 different persons. And smelling them you can almost pair several perfumes with one of those mystery perfumers (Dans Paris / Black Tie / Zouzou / Bois Dormant, Nightclubbing / Reptile / Eau de Californie, Cologne Française / Parade / Rimbaud / La Peau Nue / St Germain). And to my nose, no Francis Kurkdjian. Olivia Giacobetti I wouldn't be surprised...
I like Iris Wallpaper but o hell this astral claptrap is sooo off putting. WHY?? when the fragrance cannot speak for itself the copywriters have a field day :) Can you imagine what a house like Guerlain makes of all this nonsense? no thanks
Well, that was equal parts entertaining and dispiriting! I am thoroughly over the gimmicky stories and despair that people keep bringing these sorts of brands to market. No one will ever think of them 10 years hence. Perhaps your honest review will bring their chakras into focus!
I think I enjoy your negative reviews more than the positive ones. LOL! Never had much time for Bobbi and don’t intend to. I didn’t like the scents or the bottles but now that I have heard the background story, I don’t have much inclination to smell them in the future.

Don’t ever regret NOT blind-buying a full bottle. It’s always wise and mindful to try a smaller discovery or travel size first. That said, I agree that Iris Doux is beautiful- very elegant and well composed interpretation of iris.
I wish Celine Black Tie was a little stronger and lasted a little longer, i dont know where to wear a faint skin scent vanilla sadly. Dans Paris was just a borefest for me. I guess they have an aesthetic after all…
in all honesty even for me who is a skin scent and is a huge Guerlain fangirl, Black Tie is just to faint for me mostly when you consider the price tag. I tried it for the 1st time here in Paris. The SA sprayed a bit on a card and it so faint it could only smell wet paper. I had to double check with the SA that he had sprayed something. On skin it is a constant disappearing and appearing act. It is simply not worth it. Guerlain vanilla scents are way before with better quality

Tried this for the first time today and it really was love @ first sniff. This & Coach Signature were my top 2 after sampling close to 20 scents. I'm finicky... Some of these classic fragrances knock newer scents out of orbit. Tell me about more of them please!!! I want all the aldyhedic, angelic masterpieces!!! 🥰
