Welcome to Joe's Drive-in! This channel is mainly focused on film through the series, well, Joe's Drive-in - where you never know what will be playing! Will it be something good, something bad, a review, a history lesson, or something completely different? You'll just have to wait and see for yourself! But that's not all either! I've been creating on RU-vid for a super long time with a previous channel containing content dating all the way back to 2006, and I previously went by 469 Productions on this channel until 2022. While that channel doesn't need to be mentioned, ever, this channel also hosts whatever I've attempted over the years before settling on the Drive-in, along with other content. If you dig deep enough, you're find gaming, short films, memes, and more! And it's not always just me, every so often I'll collaborate with some of my friends and make something new. I have high hopes for the future of this channel. Enjoy! -Joseph
I love popeye The cartoons do a fantastic job at playing around with its formula Also popeye is an interesting character he a guy you dont want to mess with but has alot of history surrounding him Much like tom and jerry, popeye pushed boundaries that was allowed with animation at the time especially with cartoon violence This short is one of my favorites of the popeye shorts alongaide the ali baba one
@@jamesborlan2850 yes! While researching for this video I certainly learned a lot about Popeye and gained some more appreciation for him. I always liked this cartoon in particular but I found he’s pretty cool beyond that.
I miss family movie nights back in the day when we go to Blockbuster Video or Hollywood Video rent new or classic movies then we get pizza and make popcorn
That is NOT a drill. It’s abuse, plain and simple. He’s unnecessarily venting on a struggling player when the kid should be treated with patience and compassion. I’m glad the principal put a stop to it.
I'm on the side of the coach here. The team works very hard for winning and Stewart not only is out here dropping balls but he is spreading black magic talismans and diabolical beliefs among the teammates. In fact the way he keeps the talisman hidden in his sock like a knife can be considered cheating since he is using extra equipment. The coach simply uses a drill so that butter fingers stops dropping balls while he is out there confusing his teammates with rituals and the ocult.
@@pastpatour it’s aged like fine wine! Glad to see you made it to this video, thank you so much for all the comments - makes my day to read a little something on each video.

What I came for are the lies on the VHS Covers, being the “Superior” Quality part. I prefer cartoon restorations from official DVDs better than Public Domain Cartoon VHS tapes and DVDs.
As much as I love Hannibal Lecter and Anthony Hopkins I can't take the "favas with Chianti" speech seriously, it's so cartoonish! I always chuckle at that scene. Would love to see you reviewing Red Dragon btw, underrated movie imo
@@pastpatour perhaps it’s one of those things that’s been so ingrained in pop culture that it’s became a joke. I’m sure when the movie first dropped it was chilling haha
The first 2 are clips from Hanna Barbera’s Johnny Quest, and 2:06 is one of the Superman cartoons by Fleischer studios “the mummy strikes” from 1943. Also, thank you SO much! I’m happy to hear you enjoyed the video, much appreciated!
I watched the Exorcist in high school! We also watched Amarcord, Body Double and Clockwork Orange. We had an interesting teacher... nowadays that wouldn't fly, the parents would throw a fit about such content being shown to their kids (Amarcord isn't violent but has lots of sex talk). Gotta say, my school experience was culturally rich.
Teaching kids a dosage of world reality the hard way because of their poor piss emasculated manhood, who brought shame to their sports teams. Not bullying. For shame!!!!
Also Stewart the butter fingers was out there giving out good luck talismans. Sports are about effort and a lot of repetition (drills). Butterfingers was out there doing black magic instead of actually playing basketball. Coach was fired for working overtime and butterfingers never became a good player
@@ethansloan Thank you so much for the sub and welcome to the Drive-in! I’m really glad to hear that you liked the videos! I love reading opinions and feedback, so hope to see you in some of the other comment sections too. Enjoy your time at the Drive-in, there’s plenty more where this came from and you never know what’s next!
The theme song was actually written by Milton Berle, and before he became Mr. Television, and before he made those Disney records for RCA Victor no one ever heard of.
My cousin went to the Universal park in FL and the Jaws ride is the only thing that made me jealous. I really wish I could see the animatronic beast myself.
Even more unfortunate now is that the ride's been removed for several years at this point, the only place you'll be able to experience it is going to Universal Japan. Very sad.
I think that Bugs Bunny with the blocks is from Canada, and Heckle and Jeckle is from Star Classics from California. I have a tape from them called the Jackie Robinson Story, and they are also known for putting out tapes in big cardboard cases.

Can you believe the two biggest free to air TV Networks in Brazil aired King of the Hill and the Simpsons at noon, unedited and simultaneously? Man the 90s were the wild west on tv
Bosko Video was a video company formed by animation buff Dave Butler (1944-2014) around 1989. He strove to present high-quality transfers (from 16mm prints) of the Superman, Private Snafu, and early Warner Brothers cartoons, along with other public domain titles, offering an alternative to the atrocious-quality collections that you entertainingly detailed in your video. At the time, the Bosko releases were appreciated by serious cartoon aficionados but the comparatively high prices for the tapes limited their appeal to the general public. Consumers seemed content to pick up the much cheaper mass-produced collections, regardless of how sloppy the video quality and the packaging designs were. I think many of these cheapie tapes were purchased as gifts for children, so I suppose adults felt that the novelty of watching cartoons on video was good enough to satisfy kids, regardless of how wildly inappropriate the material may have been. I can imagine the jaw-dropping reactions from unsuspecting parents who decided to show ALL THIS AND RABBIT STEW at a children's birthday party.
Thank you! I appreciate you providing the backstory behind Bosko video, they certainly have a much more high quality feel to them than the rest. Happy to hear you liked the video!
I guess I'm the only one here who isn't mad, shit like this WORKS. You need to get humiliated and crushed sometimes, ask the greatest on any sports if all time if they didn't got bullied by their coach.
Exactly. Kid was getting 1 on 1 coaching and practicing at a much higher speed than the usual games he played at with kids his age. At the end the coach was fired for going the extra mile and butterfingers never became a good player
My mom was always a night owl, and when this movie aired in the wee hours of the night she recorded it in VHS so I could watch it later. I was 7 at the time. It'll always hold a special place for me.
The marketing must have been terrible, for I didn't even know this movie existed until months after its release. And yeah, it's serviceable. It's leagues below Zootopia, but still entertaining as you said.
