The thing is you didn't do it right. And sometimes most cars like toyota you need to reprogram it using the eeprom adapter in order to change the mileage. Yes that tool scks and even their support is rubbish, but it does its things if you know how to use eeprom programmer.
I all ready changed or update at my Vito 2008 the clock spring, and the cluster with two digital screens, and put the airbag withe buttons. I set the mileage to 0 and now i all ready have the cluster with the correct mileage with the EZS. Thank you for sharing.
Hi nice video. Make one vídeo “ how update with steering with buttons and the cluster to one at Vito w639 like yours at show here, is possible??? I made This project, but not yet complete, because i d’ont have the Board computer work and the buttons of steering wheel not work to. Please Help. Thank you.
If the buttons on your steering are not working it's because threes a problem with the clock spring on the steering. SEE THIS FOR HELP "ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-waBCtiq2MaM.html" and go to 15 minute point.
hellooooo, i got a question, the doors where unlocking/locking with the eis faulty? i have the same issue and i want to know if is the key or the eis :P
Please give me a clearer picture. The doors were locking/unlocking or ARE locking/unlocking????? Are the doors locking/unlocking by themselves or what??? I don't follow you!!!
@@yiannakosautomotivekeys2380 they dont lock/unlock with the key, i replaced the key battery (is my only key) and the battery og the car was disconected and now i want to know if is the key or the eis
@@ChillRighty Hi. Just seen your comment. If the ignition does not turn while on the car, there are two possible problems. 1. The key has lost it's data or gone wrong and 2. the ignition switch (EIS) has gone wrong.
This should be called grass root trouble shooting. My sprinter went into the shop 2 months ago for oil leak, the mechanic determined that oil cooler gasket was bad. We decided that he’d fix it and for some reason he offered to replace the rear main seals also. I went back a month in to discover that van was still leaking when driven and this time it was transmission fluid. I took closer look and discovered the transmission adapter was broken off and Christmas tree wires hanging freely. The mechanic have been test driving the van not knowing that transmission harness is out. Fast forward to after buying and installing new harness adapter with “wiring diagram”, van has currently refuse to start. It’s now same problem as this video and last I heard, the transmission module is fried and he’d be ordering one. Not that I’d be paying for all the carelessness, I was just curious why a van would suddenly be unresponsive.
Thanks. Nice video. I have a sprinter with changed eis. The eis has lower milage than cluster.. Eis has 230xxxkm. Cluster/sprinter has 340xxx. Cluster has only -------- where the odo goes. I also has 3-4 fault codes that are relatet to eis/cluster. Can i use Xentry to correct eis with cluster ? Thanks again for really helpful video. :)
@Garreslittlefarm Sorry for the late reply. I never got a notification. The higher mileage WINS. In your case the cluster wins. When you sync the two, the cluster mileage will show up. I believe Xentry should be able to sync the cluster & EIS. Clear TDC's.
@jordysandino6577 - Hi. The reason of desoldering the pins is because their solder cracks due to the heat. You cannot tell that the solder is cracked, unless you view them under a camera (microscope).
Greate video !!! Mercedes w211 e270 The old original ECU and EIS is mising , i have new one ECU ,EIS ,ESL and already installed in car , it works but the VIN is wrong. Can I change the VIN in these blocks to the correct one? I can read dump *.bin frome ECU and EIS
looks like its a relay problem, there is no heater coil light when you turn the key. there will be corrosion in one or two of the relays above the fusebox. swap these out. check sprinter relay no start on youtube.
@@carremote8651 Are talking about the same key? If that's the case, you can only renew original keys, NOT aftermarket keys. You can renew some Nissan using Xhorse Mini Key Tool or KDIY.
Something I forgot to mention is that, when you are increasing the mileage on the EIS you do not need to zero out the instrument cluster, but you need to do that when you are reducing the mileage on the EIS.
Hello! Really Interesting video, so if the cluster have lower mileage than the EIS why didn’t it show the higher mileage from the EIS on the cluster automatically?
I plan to change my Low-line cluster to a High-line cluster, like the looks more of the High-line. So if I replace it with a lower mileage High-line cluster then on the mileage stored on my EIS will it then show the correct mileage on my cluster?
@@tobiaslangstrom3689 No. You'll need to zero out the mileage on the EIS, so when you put it back to the car it will sync itself to the mileage of the cluster. In your case the EIS has lower mileage than the cluster. As soon as you connect the cluster the EIS will sync to the cluster's mileage because the highest mileage WINS.
@@tobiaslangstrom3689 It should have done. In some cases you need a diagnostic tool to command the cluster to synchronise itself to the EIS or the cluster is not compatible.
@@yiannakosautomotivekeys2380 I had the same question they stole my brother eis out of the car ( very odd) and only the eis how can I get the eis information so I can put it into a donor eis
@@juanrendon3639 Hi. You need to get the information from the Engine ECU. From there you can generate EIS file. You will also need the SSID which you can get from any of the keys assuming that you do have a key.
@Ryone Samer - Hi. I'm located in Europe. I'm from Cyprus. Link to products: www.mk3.com/xhorse-vvdi-prog-programmer-tool-device-vvdi-prog-mercedes-eis-ezs-adapters-kit
@Proud Papa - Hi Greg. Yes it should work as long as the EIS is an FBS3 generation. After 2014 Mercedes changed their 3rd generation (FBS3) to fourth generation (FBS4) system. FBS4 systems, at the moment can be programmed by Mercedes only. I hope this helps.
@Proud Papa - Sorry Greg I just noticed your vehicle is a 2003 so it should be just fine. Tomorrow I will be cloning a w639 VITO VAN EIS and I will film that as well, so keep an eye.
It is very shameful that there are cheaper tools that can correct many car meters, and this company updates the units after the end of the free update period for them. It is very expensive, and it fails in many cars.
@whitey rose - Not only are expensive to update, they cannot correct many of the cars being on their menu. Basically they sell you a tool that has lets say 60 cars on the menu but it can only do 35 of them. In other words you pay for something that says it can do ABC but it can't. Ridiculous.
@@sadaly4676 There is no way to know that. There are many cars in the menu, but one I have tried could not be done. For example a Mercedes w207. You'll need to try all the cars to find out which can be done and which cannot.
Excellent job and video. Where can I purchase the Computor hardware you used to read the EPROM and Flash files from the original and donor? Did the donor switch come with a key or were you able to use original key. Thank you for any response! I’m Kevin
@Kevin Pinson When you clone the EIS the original keys will work. No need to program new key(s). The programmer is called "Xhorse VVDI Prog". You can search google. With regards to the adapters you can do all this without them, but you'll have to solder cables that come with the programmer to the EIS. The programmer has wiring diagrams as to where to solder and what colour cable. I hope this makes sense & helps.
If I sent you the original and a donor would swap the EPROM and the Flash files for me. I’ll be glad to pay you for what you need for the job. Thank you very much for any response and also the original response!
I have a 2008 211 E350 w the exact problem as yours. Would it be possible to send my original and donor and you program the donor w info from original. Let me know if you can do this for me. Thank you for any response!
Very Concerning, I clone these ECUs as part of my business, never heard of so many going so wrong. interesting enough I am visiting cyprus this year if you want me to give it a look over haha. I remember your HPFP was giving you a code for the quantity control valve, possible it is building up with sludge or algae, not too tough to take off and clean
@SprinterFix When a friend of mine (Mechanic) had a look at it and scanned it with his scanner, he told me that the injectors were not firing up. So I will be replacing the injector's drivers, all four of them on the old ECU (when they arrive) and see if the faulty ECU can start the engine.
@@yiannakosautomotivekeys2380 injector drivers? what are those? I am not familiar, if ecu is not firing injectors its usually either because of low crank rpms, low fuel pressure, or sync between crank and cam, I assume that qc valve code u mentioned a while back is causing low fuel pressure and thus ecu is not trying to fire injectors.
@@sprinterfix No no no. I soon as I changed the ECU everything worked, so non of what you mention is at fault. I measured the injector drivers in the ECU and I am not getting any readings on all four of them.
@@yiannakosautomotivekeys2380 ahhh I see, now that makes sense, I have done very little work on the ecu itself, they are tough to open haha and I am not good at soldering. I am looking forward to seeing a video of the ecu being soldered.
@@sprinterfix If you open e few ECUs then you can get the hung on opening them and then it becomes easier and easier. I'll show you when you come to Cyprus lol.
I had problem with EIS, but once I took it out, took it apart, clean those electrical contacts and connectors, and put it back together, the problem went away. I do believe much of these problems arise from corrosion of electric contacts.
@David Jacob - Never thought of that actually. I always thought they go wrong mechanically (internally). I have a few EISs that I kept from customers. I will do the same and see of they come back to life. Thanks

If you are talking about the large black wire that connects to the EIS (ignition switch) that wire goes to the gear stick. As soon as you turn the ignition ON, it releases the gear stick so you can change gears.

Are you still looking for the 2199 Code ? There are 2 Valves, one is at the Pump as you shown and one is on the End of the Common Rail. Both 2 Wire Solenoids. They both only go back to the Engine ECU. I could not find any hint on the VIN of the Sprinter or Details like Year, so i am looking it up by chance. The one ob the Pump goes to Connector A on the ECU Pins 47 & 94. And the other one on the End of the rail goes to Pins 93 & 23. Check the Ohm readings with the ECU unplugged through the Wiring through the Solenoids. And then check each of the 4 Pins to ground, There should be a resistance but no Connection to ground on any of those Wires.A23 <> A93 around 2-6 Ohms and A47<>A97 around 3-5 Ohms. Connector A is the Bigger Plug (96 Pins) and B is the smaller One (58 Pins) ( I assumed a Sprinter 2,2L Diesel between 2006-2013)
this gave me some insight into a no start issue I have been dealing with. Best of luck. For reference I replaced that fuse box and SAM module attached to no avail.
Hi. I received the new fuse box earlier today and out of curiosity I quickly replaced it and I'm still having the same issue. A friend of mine who is an electrician told me it won't work because the issue is with a sensor to the High Pressure Pump. New video to follow. Good luck!!!
@@sprinterfix Hi. Thanks for the interest in helping. The most important DTC that I believe is the issue is the following: 2199-002 M41 (High Pressure Pump) - Short Circuit To Ground. Current And Stored. I hope this makes sense.
@@yiannakosautomotivekeys2380 interesting, I believe the only two components that supply direct feedback from high pressure pump are quantity control valve and a fuel temp sensor. both can be removed without removing pump and tested independently I'd be happy to give you some assistance if you still need it.
So u just made him a new key fob. How did u know the ignition switch was bad.? I have the same issue my e500 I went to the gas station and remote was working fine . Mind you I dropped it 2x and the remote stopped working left me stranded and had my car towed back home. I've had same issue in the past where my remote got soaked in water and stopped working . Called a key reprogram and he made me a new key and it started right up.
*@Charlie Vega - I did not made him a new key fob. He's EIS (Electronic Ignition Switch) was faulty, so what I did was clone a new (used) EIS. I did not do the diagnosis on the EIS, a garage did that and they called me to clone a new one. As far as your key is concern, if you drop it in water what you should do is clean it with alcohol like ISOPROPANOL or similar. This is to get your remote back and working again. As far as the car not starting, while you dropped the key, the transponder must of been damaged or came lose from the board. In this case you need to open the key fob and inspect it. Be careful while opening not to lose anything that came lose because you might be able to solder it back to the board.*
@Charlie Vega Sorry for the late reply. I did not make a new key fob. The original key was working fine since we cloned the Ignition switch. In your case, your key was broken since you dropped it but that doesn't mean, you needed a new key. Maybe the coil was disconnected from the PCB board from the drop and all you had to do is solder it back. As far as soaking the key all you had to do is dry it as quickly as possible, then clean the PCB board with alcohol (Isopropanol alcohol or similar).
