I dont really fish for pike. I know Nord has huge numbers, but the ones I've caught have been small. I would think any of the larger, deeper, clear lakes would be the ticket. Sorry I'm not much help.
Was wondering if you have had an episode on Ross Lake? Will be coming up from Chicago July 18 to 22nd and fish lakes around Aitkin. Thanks. Enjoy your channel!
Welcome back guys...I predict a great year from the guy in the back of the boats!!!! A new PB for me at 6-2 this year already. Rick, A new PB is on your way!
Usually get out there once a year, good bass population with nice size. Lot's of pike as well. I have a few videos uploaded for white sand in my library.
In the fall a big jig seems to be the best for me. Be it a flipping jig for largemouth or a rock jig for smallmouth. Anything you can fish slow when the water temps get below 50 is good. Thanks for watching and good luck!!
Worst timing ever for Rick to have an eye appointment. What a day. I’m watching the first 15 minutes a second time just to re soak it in. Weirdly, a rare time where a second angler might have actually slowed the catch rate down with all the required weighing and fish processing time.
You're welcome for the gps coordinates to the hot spots... j/k. Hell of an outing, wish Rick and I could've been there, but what can you do? Hooe its not the last outi g before the freeze, but if it is, it's a hell of an epic sign off for the season. Tight lines Marc, great job!
Days like that rock! Looked like a ton of fun! Pretty easy editing too when you're in a spot like that first one and they're biting almost every cast. LOL! That was cool.
It's on the rotation for sure now. Interested to see how it fishes in mid summer. I feel like I won't be able to fish my strengths, but we will give it a go!
It's very simple. I rigged it up Texas style behind a 1/8 oz bullet sinker. I use an Eagle Claw bobber stop to prevent the sinker from sliding. Patience is required because it sinks relatively slow. I just cast it out and when my line goes limp, I know it's on the bottom. Then I just slowly slither it through the weeds. It's extremely weed resistant. Thanks for the question, I'm more than happy to answer.
