HELP ME, I'm stuck with paint bucket tool it's creating lots of points when filling colour in it also creating his own shapes. I tried a script call paint bucket + but it some time works sometimes not
After creating animation in action tab using smart bones how to render it? In my case only my main timeline keyframes are rendering not the animation which i want how to add this in render animation 😢
Hiii there How are ya!. oh, hum let see. everything you have in your screen have to be rendered, it doesn´t matter if its a smart bone or regular bone. if its on your screen space, it has to be rendered. For example, you have an animation made with smart bones, and does it move when you press play, and it doesn´t move when you render? let me know 😃
Exactly what I was looking for <3 Thank you :D I have one question, while animating using bones, is it possible to copy frame? I'm trying to create simple animation, where in the end the character is going back to the first frame.
Hi there!!! thanks to you!!. and yes you could copy and paste the keyframes of frame 1 (but first be sure you are selecting all the bones and everything ) and if you have Moho 14, you can use the option, "reset visible points/bones" you will see it on your timeline, on the right of the onion skin option. that will create new keyframes with the same position of your character on frame 1 😃
hi there!!!! oh if you mean an android version? I don´t think so. sorry. I haven´t tried but you have some options like, flipa clip, animaker, Ibis paint x, hipaint, krita. check them out, because I think that some are for tablets only.
yes you can save it as PSD, and then you can import it in moho, and moho will keep the same layer order and all. just like in photoshop. And if you change something in photoshop, it will be reflected in Moho. 😃😃
Thanks for this! Question: How would you go about animating two characters in one scene? Like they are interacting and they overlap at times. Say like they're dancing where sometimes one is in back, one is in front. Can you create multiple layers for the characters so they can overlap? Maybe putting them in different folders? It seems it wont let me create folders though for some reason...
Hiii square!!! how are ya!. oh thats a good one, ok, yes, you can create multiple layers, both on different folders, and here I ask, why you can´t create folders?. another option is to use the depth sort, but with multiple layers, hum. I think it could be complicated. but maybe if you have. 2 folders you could change the order during the animation. or just do a FBF. its the best way to go when you have to create a 360º turn or interaction. You can also use bones of course, but you will have to use the depth sort to hide some parts.
@@JayBlackCult Hey! So I think I figured it out: I think I just have to start on frame 0 which makes perfect sense. And I haven't heard of depth sort, but perhaps that is something I can look into. Thanks for the reply!
Hi there Red Bones!! how are you. Yes you can, just export the file as SVG from Illustrator, and then import it on Moho. that will import the file on 1 layer. so, just go to script / layer effect/ RT Break apart shapes, and that will split all the parts. But be careful, borders sizes and maybe other effects may not work, so, after you split you may have to fix some extra details, but yeah it works. 😃😃😃😄
Hello can you help me? I want to create an animation loop to put on the timeline as the main animation of the character. To get some diversity, I want to add some second animations separate from the pricipal one. For example in the case of your character who is walking, is it possible to add other actions, like making one of his arms raise? But keeping in two different smart bones actions. I'm trying, but every time I add a keyframe of another action, it goes to interrupt the main one. So I would like to create one main movement for the whole animation and then add independently, other actions together on the same timeline.
Hi there Francis, sorry for the delay, so yeah lets see. What you need to do is separate the layers you want to animate. You should have each arm, each leg, torso and head on a different layer. Select each layer, and generate a different animation for each part of the body. That´s all. To have better control and keep everything organized, it is good to create a folder for each body part you are going to work on. Oh, maybe the video I uploaded about how to create a South Park character is better, since it has more folders. At least to give you a better Idea of what you can do. But don't worry, yes, it is possible to do what you are looking for, and actually you are on the right path. It is always better to work the Loop first, and then the other parts of the body. You just have to go one by one and everything separately. Right now I'm just making a new video where I'm going to explain how the Timeline works, how to separate animations, how to modify a specific part of the body without affecting the rest, and other tips. But for now, you can try separating the layers. Let me know how it goes!! And have a great day
amazing Info Jay, I think this new kind of video is pretty great to talk about news and stuff about designers, well done, thumbs up!.. The AI news does not stop, but as always they lose the battle against humans art. Whoever wants to be an artist will have to study. There are no short paths. Could you talk about how to create a portfolio today? thanks!
Hi there ohthts!! Morning!!, yeah, just google "south park mouths" and you will find them, the eyes and eyebrows you can draw and control them from Moho. 😀
Jay I hope you're doing well. You are one of few who actualy gives lessons in bitmap. Can you show us a video making 360 character with dial (bitmap)? Do you use mesh warp for that?
Heyy Ricky what´s up!! I´m doing well thanks a lot, hope you are ok too bro. And yeah if you have your character drawn In Moho, you don´t need the warp, you can make a frame by frame animation, or a mix using bones with fbf. I´m working on the next video which is about the timeline with all the tips I know. but I really want to make the 360 character and explain it, so Im taking notes. I´m gonna try to include that for the next one. thanks for the Idea bro!!. but if you wanna try,, yeah you can do a fbf, maybe with 8 or 10 positions, you can make a fluid fast turn, (depending on your character), could be less.
@@JayBlackCult Hahaha thats awsome man! Because my next question was about time line. I didnt draw in moho because I dont like vector... Im doing only image drawing so far. So with image you would suggest drawing 8 fbf for a good turn? Are you active on discord? Vector drawing feels so robotic... meanwhile photoshop freehand feels artistic haha I'm a beginner animator and Im planning to release a huge video within 2 months.
@@rickyismyuncle4485 Ahh okok yeah, without a doubt if you are drawing it you will have way more cool characters, in that case, yeah you can do it also with fbf, also with some bones just to help you mostly with the arms and legs tiny movements. No, I´m not active on Discord. Vectors can offer you greater fluidity, (because you can move them and control them with actions) but they don´t have much detail in terms of the character. I´m not sure about the mesh warp, it could help, that´s a fact, it´s an awesome tool, but I never used it to create a 360 turn. I bet it helps more than the bones maybe. It depends on how many details or tools your character has. 😃 can´t wait to see your animation bro!!!
Thank you for always making videos with a message of support, saying that it is always better to study more and move forward no matter what happens. It is very important to hear it from someone who knows, even if it seems silly. With your channel I learned Moho, animation, some Photoshop and step by step I am getting better. Honestly, in just a few videos you say a lot. About AI, yeah, it's really disturbing all the money they are making and all the money they are stealing. But it's incredibly fast how everyone is reacting. I saw that several platforms are already taking action on AI. The artist community its getting together and supports each other. Nobody likes AI, I mean, you see it, you say it's cute, and it's forgotten. They are just empty images. soulless, meaningless. Yes, it is true that many jobs will disappear, but that is nothing new. Thanks for this video Jay. and I didn't know about the prices of ridiculous artworks. I knew about the banana, and a guy even ate it once haha.
A work created in AI has the same value as printing a drawing downloaded from the internet. In the past all graphic design was worked on paper and wood. Then everything changed with the computer. in the same way that before everything was written with a typewriter or pictures were painted because there were no cameras. We also rode horses before the car and traveled by train before the plane. We dressed differently, we ate differently, a television weighed a ton and a vinyl record was great (well they still are). Even the production, the factories, today you don't even have to leave the house to buy a loaf of bread. Absolutely EVERYTHING was adapted. and those who did not know how to adapt lost their jobs. For decades, I have seen unemployed architects or lawyers working as taxi drivers. Economies have destroyed more jobs and lives than ridiculous AI. The problem is that 2 problems are mixed. AI as a tool, and AI as a concept of art. First, the AI should stop STEALING. That is a fact. If It didn't steal, I would never be good. The day the AI stops stealing, the AI dies. Is it a new tool? of course it is. As long as you don't steal. It's art?. It is not, since it is only a mathematical formula, an algorithm. When you learn photoshop and draw you use a tool and create art that takes time. When you create an animation, you're no longer drawing 1000 fps, but it still takes time and has value. You no longer create movie monsters using dolls, you use 3D which takes time and has value. If you press a button and steal, it's the same as downloading someone else's image. It does not have value. Who gives value to it? people who don't know how to design
All scams, Let's be honest. AI is for lazy people. And one thing. AI without all the art it steals, it would have Sht..ti images. The art sales market is money laundering created by corrupt groups. That is a fact. Most of the artists who paint 2 lines and sell them for 10 million are just puppets of these groups. The AI is Laion B, another corrupt group that steals images without permission, (when we have each social network with hundreds and hundreds of laws, they steal everything without saying anything.) AI platforms are for people who don't know how to design, film, photograph, or are simply too lazy to do so. In other words, a new app for lazy people. Will companies use it? of course!. and what always happens? Companies make mistakes to save money and then they just have to call someone to fix the mess. is that new? absolutely not. As an illustrator and animator I live that every day. And I'm tired. They saturate the market and then everything changes or is forgotten. They saturated with bitcoins, with the metaverse, with CGI, and now they saturate it with AI garbage. dear lord. I loved when you said about human unpredictability. and human errors bro, thats so real. and let me say, awesome news/documentary style video. I like this format. Could you do more about animation and design?
Jay thanks so much for this video!!, I think that once the novelty wears off, as always, the real artists, musicians, photographers, etc. will remain.Having digital tools is not new, we use technology all the time. At first it is exciting and all, but then 90% get bored and only those who really want to continue remain. Everything requires study, work and patience, but not everyone has that. A good illustrator who knows how to use AI and modify it to create something new is the future. A client recently tried to create an illustration with AI and was having light and shadow issues all over the place. correcting it was impossible, it was easier to make a completely new illustration. There is no way to create the perfect prompt to solve visual logic, perfect color, not to mention small details. In any case, today we have guys selling junk art for millions and that is not going to change. that´s sad too. thanks for mention it. When they sold a banana for more than 100k, designers did not fear for their jobs and that was sad too.
So great to see that all the artistic community are getting together, this is amazing. Amazing video. I agree with you and other comments. AI is just a mafia used by wanna be people. Loved how the german guy rejected his award after winning. And greg omgshh, I know his work, he is pure talent. I think that human designers will become more interesting and AI will become the boring perfection. It's like when you listen a song recorded with the old style vs the new bands that all sound the same. Computers just do that if you dont let the human part coexist. Autotune and all that, come on. Ai will become , actually it's already boring. Cgi is great but is also boring when you dont have a good story to tell. What I mean is,,,,, even having all this new technology you could be a disaster. Look Avatar, 30 years to make a movie that stole the whole story to another one... but with cool effects. We artists can relate and understand, , it think that artists with studies will end up using the ai like another tool, like photoshop or pinterest to get some inspiration. Believe me I dont have a single client that likes the AI. And I work with animations and illustrations. Bdw thanks for raising your voice too Jay. Thumbs UP.
I believe ART will become more private and reserved. I'm a 2D animator and music producer. I'm recently working only on my stuffs, no client work for months. I'm happy and also sad in same time. But I like the change. The AI is good for producing content, which is disguised as ART. But in reality without people nothing has value. People create something and another people appreciates it. That's the communication and how relations are made. But AI isn't making any relation to anyone, but isolating. There are people who do not care to communicate with other people and don't want to know where things come from, don't care about consequences, just want to keep inside their own reality will definitely pick AI. Where the majority people are like sheep, its undeniable, they'll be happy with whatever shiny things are presented. You're exactly right, AI isn't new. Its a new business model of thieves, like other sectors. Like the most basic thing, FOOD industry where the real farmers hang themselves for not getting paid, but the middleman are rich and famous. I really appreciate this video, it is inspiring. Sadly I'm not sure how the future generation will deal with these problems. I've kids, I see solution is to get out from internet and live in present life. Digital media will be corrupted and have no real values, they'll be more manipulative like ever before, will bring confusion and separation. Yep, organised chaos it is. Cheers!
