Modding cars, car maintenance, and everything cars. We're gonna focus on my 370z and also buy some project cars! A little bit of everyday life, hoping to switch things up in my life! Enjoy watching feel free to comment and give feedback!
@drewworkz169 ok ty ill have to grab one next time. So you changed it 2xs without and it never leaked tho eh? Also I grabbed ultra synthetic Fram filter and see alot of ppl say not to use them. Why?
Thanks for the help ! Im going to order the oil kit to do my first rver oil change on my 2013 370Z myself. I also love the tires and rims ur riding on ! What size and brand? The car also sounds great ! What exaust?
I had a base model with no wing at all so I had to drill my own. But I believe if you have a sport that it will bolt right up. It's an EVO-R Nismo High wing. Slightly taller and the top flares abit more at the end unlike the standard v1 nismo wing
@@tnskccai thanks, if you do go with the EVO-R spoiler it does come in 2 pieces. The two up rights on the sides screw in and the middle one glues on(buy better glue than what they give you, and take your time). The two on the side are also pretty tricky to screw on, definitely need a strong magnet/some grease in a socket to hold it on so you don't drop a bolt inside the spoiler lol
Just subscribed to your channel. Your Z is looking great 👍. I just came across your page while looking at Z content. I bought a 370z roadster about 8 months ago and am slowly modding it. I'm also new to the STL area. So it's nice to see someone else in the area doing something I'm interested in. Stay cool 😎
Says for a Z that it takes 5.2 quarts of oil to fill. But with the oil cooler installed would you need to add another quart or just put the same amount??
Everything is listed in the video if you watch it. I did it so long ago I don't really remember. I believe the grease is Honda m-77 assembly that was recommended. But again I got through it all in the video
@@matthewlunsford2904 I had done a bunch of research before I started and that seemed to be the consensus. It's pricey for how small it is. But I can say that I daily drive my Z now and have yet to have an issue
@@drewworkz169 any other minor issues like this you’ve came across, I just bought a 2009 370z about 2 weeks ago and this is the only issue I’ve noticed
For 6 more blots you could have taken the whole axle out , but , i like where your go’in with this , that Kawasaki bolt comes off motor cycle or what , i’m go’in to order a grade 10.8 castle nut with the washers at 10.8 or better , i’ve seen other shows where they used blue locktite , wouldn’t use red , but if you did , it wouldn’t ever move , right
@@drewworkz169 your still on the same set up bro? Also have a bit of a crackling noise here and there but it sounds more like it’s coming from the middle rear of the car
Nice video man appreciated!!! I have a similar issue with my 370z I am gona do that also. I just want to know which type/model of Michelin tires you have on your 370z, are they quite on the road?
If you want a lot less road noise look into the Vredesteins. I am done with ps4s’s after several years. You’re paying $400 extra for faster tire wear and tons of road noise once they wear down about 25%…. I am running their dedicated snow tires and they’re simply unbelievable in terms of noise and confort
You need axle spacers bruhh!!! I put some on my 350z and it helped a lot no more cracking noise o when I turn slow. My car is on bc racing coils on the extreme low and I got 10mm spacers
@@drewworkz169 at the beginning many people were filling their z's 5w30 ( especially in US). That's why many engines are ruined. 5w30 can't handle temperatures above 100C. In Europe somewhere near 2012 in nissan oem services they changed recommendations for oil ( 5w40 instead 5w30). All because failure of the engines
@@zjadlemciobiad well idk where you got that information from but I know tons of Z guys running factory oil specs and they are well over 120,000 miles I run a oil cooler my oil temps stay under 200°F. I have never had a issue, show no signs of wear.
@@drewworkz169 Very common knowledge in Europe. Manny z's coming from US to my country need engine rebuild after 5w30 ( all because high temperatures). But if you are running oil cooler its no longer problem, because temperatures are not high anymore. Without oil cooler 5w40 and if you are riding your z in the way its designed 5w50.
@@zjadlemciobiad drewworkz is correct. Follow the manual, engineers know more than you and the hearsay. Change often and you’re fine. The oil flows through channels and tolerances..the makers know what it needs. Blown engines are from people that don’t maintain it and bump the rev limiter constantly.
Nice vid ! Question, I also have this issue with my infiniti m35h, did you have any driving issues, like the vehicle hesitating to change the gear before the fix ?
Hey, thank you for the video!!! Is this sound only when you step on the gas or lift it?? Since today my 370z makes ticking-noises. It sounds exaclty like a little stone in the tire....is this the same issue or another one?
My issue was in pulling away from a stop or slowing down you would hear a single tick each time. Or if I was driving in traffic it would click every time I went forward and let off the gas.
Whenever someone works on the axle that involves removing the lock nut it causes the splines to dry up as the grease Nissan/Infiniti is supposed to be re-lubricated/greased to prevent axle clicking
I know the work for the RWD motors but maybe do some research for the AWD. Just look up the OEM castle nut and make sure it's the same for both and then you should be good
I have heard people say it can come back. At that point the axles are probably your next bet. New axles both sides. Mine seems to be holding up though.
Having the same issue with mine but I thought it was the axles completely was about to buy some new ones to install them but now seeing this video thinking of trying this first
Super helpful thanks a ton! Tomorrow I'm going to be doing my first ever oil change and it'll be at home on the driveway for my brother's 370z! I have a huge passion for cars and this Christmas I got a tool set, jack, jack stands, and a torque wrench that I can't wait to use all of them. Anyways I just wanted to say that this video really clarified a lot of things for me, especially finding where to jack and place the stands. Thank you so much you're a really great creator! :D
