Wow ! i am hunter from europe and we do not have these beasts here , my dream is to visit my cousins at Oregon and do some Elk hunting with professionals to see true majestic feeling of these animals with my eyes
The scouting, day of the hunt, breaking down of meat, packing out I can relate to all of them. Always have such high hopes and plans, then the moment comes and I still get the same amount of frustration and anger during the pack out 😂 it never fails. Always longer and steeper than you thought, with every roll downhill the animal gains 10-pounds, but when you hit the tailgate, it’s all worth it in the end.
Thanks man!! I understand there is always someone at home who thinks they can do better from the couch! 😂 I just wanted to share our adventure. Glad you enjoyed 👊🏼
Explain how we are playing with dollys? We are in a river loaded with brooks and bows and happened to catch 2 rare fish that we had no control over and decided to leave? We handled them with care, released them and there was no issue. Thanks for watching!
Dude no way this is Keenan! Glad to see him fishing! Bringing back memories! nick & Keenan were my brothers best friends growing up! Sadly he passed away. Any way we can get in touch ?
Mr nick weeks, not in a million years would’ve I thought here is where I’d see you again. I am Chris, Jose’s little brother. Nice to see you chasing them on openers!!
Crazy to say, but because of Keenan an nick is why I hunt an fish as a kid back in troutdale rippin lips at the pond, hitting licks at bi Mart for bait and shit😂 snaggin in the lower sandy 😂😂 aw shit nick was there when I busted my head open when we were wadding beaver creek!😂
Biggest bunch of whiners ever…. You are hunting hells canyon, what do you expect. 🤷🏻♂️ instead of complaining about packing meat enjoy the moment. Dude that found the shed is special… and stop with the stalekracker quotes 😐
For one, we’re having fun. That’s the whole point of the inside jokes like the stale cracker stuff. Second, if you don’t like us feel free to not watch! We poured everything we had into this hunt so until you do 38 miles in hells canyon pulling a bull out solo without packers I don’t wanna hear it 😂 thanks for watching but if you don’t have something nice to say just keep it to yourself man. Plenty of others didn’t have an issue with us expressing our discomfort on a task this difficult? Haters man 🤦🏼♂️ always the guys with no videos on their channel lol until you make one that rivals us, I don’t care.
Thanks man! The scope and crown cover is from Ryan Lampers at sthealtyhunter.com As for the rifle it is nothing crazy just a tikka t3 with a MOA turreted vortex viper chambered in .300 win mag. Pendleton ammo is a company locally that hand loaded the rounds shooting 180 grain Nosler Accubond bullets 👊🏼 Nicks setup has since changed but it did great on this hunt and is a perfect lightweight option for those extended hunts without being overly pricey
Go watch the video, it’s filmed in 4k! I had nothing to do with the resolution lmao if you know RU-vid, you’ll know the shorts dramatically drops your quality 🙄 but thanks for the kind words brother!
Lol…..For the life of me I do not understand wearing Camo while going out and hunting. They can NOT see you before they smell or hear you. In Oregon, if they still let them hunt, we had to wear Safety orange hat and vest under the law. You do realize that they can’t see very well. Right? SMH 🤪🤪🤪🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You’re talking to someone who makes a living on elk hunting part of the year. It’s subjective. If you watch the full video you will see I am in full solids more than half the time. But you can also see how well nick blends into that rock while shooting and from a skylined perspective, it does make a difference. But yes when you play to ALL of their senses including sight it will give you an edge. I see both sides and don’t really play into it
Well I stay on roads with my atv . Going out and boon docking off the road is ruining it for everybody else . You should be hiking like the rest of us guys . Coming from a eastern oregon shed hunter
Cold spring is my spot to head out with the boat get some big crappie slabs and walleye. Let me know when you want to go will take you out fishing cold spring
I agree! I've spent more time at Wallowa than most lakes in Oregon. Its one of my all time favorite places to go. Incredible country and awesome fishing.
