@@myselph1761 they most likely are out of tune haha but the fret wrap is causing it to sound out of tune on the open notes and I’m having to play the octave up for a lot of the parts because it was written for an 8 string. Thank you! Edit: I went and listened and it’s definitely the fret wrap causing it to sound out of tune on the open notes

hey man, do you know any good 8 string in the 1000-1500 price range? im saving up for one, but dont know which one to buy. nonetheless, great cover man! the zenith passage are sick
@@metalguitaridk if you save up to about 1800-2000 you could get a really nice used 8 string kiesel, but I understand that it’s a stretch. Ibanez makes pretty great instruments though. I’ve played a 7 string that was in that price range for years and it was great. I would recommend an Ibanez if you’re gonna be in that budget
@@metalguitaridk also I just thought of an obvious answer as well. Ormsby makes some pretty great guitars as well for a good price. If you can wait for a sale you can get an 8 string from them for a good price. The ormsby im playing in this video is great

@@ravonpayne9922thank you! Nothing crazy, I just use my iPhone 14 Pro. Sometimes I have to edit the lighting a little but it’s usually unchanged. I use an LED lamp with a brightness reduction film over it as my lighting source
Amazing cover, but am I going insane or is the 7th string closer to a G# rather than A. A lot of the notes you play on it sound roughly a semitone flat. At least you can only hear it when it's the only string being played.
@@ThatBeTheQuestion thank you! I think you might be right. Most of the stuff was transposed from an 8 string to fit on the 7 so it never sounds 100% right to begin with but I’m sure the fretwrap+slight tuning instability could cause that
You're cheating the song and playing duplicates instead of triplets but im assuming even doing that took you 4 years of daily practice dedication to do. Great guitar song, isnt it?
