Thank you! This album has the most repetitive riffs/runs as playing each song feels very familiar. This occurred less for my covers of Relentless Mutation but was definitely not found in Bleed The Future. That album was definitely a challenge
I never thought about it till now but does having fanned frets make playing on ur back leg easier for your wrist. I always found playing up high was difficult but I think if the frets leaned toward me it would be easier actually
I think it might help a little but it’s sort of hard to tell with an 8 string. If I were given an non-mulitscale 8 then I could probably give a more definitive answer. This kiesel is my first 8 and first multi scale so I don’t have much to compare it to, but it’s definitely comfortable to play
Killer cover as always. Out of curiousity, have you seen the way Tobi plays his solo in live videos? He puts his picking hand over his fretting arm lower on the neck. I'm not a very advanced guitarist myself so I'm not super sure what he's doing exactly but it looks interesting
Ahh I’ve never seen that video but I just went and watched it. If you watch some of my older covers I use a fret wrap and that’s essentially what he’s manually doing. Since those sweeps he did can be done one handed, he used his picking had to block the buzz and ringing out from the other strings. Thanks for pointing that out!
@@RyuGuitars Cool thanks for the reply, I've seen Dean use those wrap things on his RU-vid channel and I always kinda wondered why it supposedly made his tapping sound better. Cheers!
@@CynicalSphere yup, they really help clean up complex songs where it’s hard to keep random noise muted. Last time I used it was on Godless Times by Rings of Saturn but I try not to use it when I can, stunts the development of proper muting technique
Thanks! I use NeuralDSP archetype Petrucci for basically all of my videos. If you want the preset for it I have it linked in my scream feeding comment section
