I have a 2013 r60 countryman all 4 automatic and pulling the abs fuse made the aound go away. Easy diagnostic. I had been racking my brain trying to diagnose this sound. I plan to do the job myself and found a replacement transfer case for 1000 dollars
To my utter amazement, this actually worked for me. I’d tried a few other things I’d seen on RU-vid, but when I saw your video and that WD-40 was involved, I knew I had to try it. My daughter held the trim button down and I put my weight on the stem drive after spraying it as you indicated with WD-40 and the darn thing went down. I’d been trying different things all day to no avail, but this was the trick that did it. Thank you so much for posting this video!
@@peteranania7166ok, iam in the process of putting a viper engine back together but I don’t know any of the torque specs, and I wanna make sure I have the circ clips on the crank in the right spot, all the manuals I find online are for service and don’t show stuff like you have in your manual.
When you tighten the two bolts through the back of the track, do you tighten them or loosen them to tighten the track? I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around how tightening them would make the axle move backwards instead of forwards but the opposite doesn’t make sense either…
My Grandfather was Alfred Edward Gallant from Prince Edward Island. I know his mom was a "Higgins". MY Grandfather was a Lydia La Blanc. I am in touch with some of her family I do have video of them when they were all younger. Alfred also had a sister named Rose.
I went to Tignish PEI in 2008. I looked in the telephone book for Gallants. There were 3 pages. Popular name. I stopped to talk to a woman on Gallant Lane. She took us into her house and had a big book on the history of Gallants going back a few hundred years.
Hey guy I need to know the long head bolts which cylinder it goes to. Forgot to place it on a piece of cardboard with holes in proper removed order. 6 head bolts are longer need to know where those go. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
One of the WORST "instructional" videos ever!! He NEVER explains WHAT electrical/mechanical COMPONENTS of this vehicle are OPERATED vis-a-vis what he calls "THE WATCH SPRING" or "THE RIBBON"!!!! (As if he is a CLOCK/WATCH repair person; or showing men & ladies how to make pretty RIBBONS for their HAIR, or wrap PRESENTS for XMAS!!!) Also, he refers to a (purported) "C-CLIP" device, and that you must REMOVE it; however, he never even demonstrates (precisely) WHERE that "C-Clip" is located, nor what it even LOOKS LIKE!!! However, he nevertheless SHOWS YOU the TOOL needed to REMOVE said "C-Clip"; and then he mumbles words to the effect, "When removing the C-Clip, be PROFESSIONAL, and be sure to use the proper TOOL" (This dude is a CLOWN, and should get OFF of RU-vid!!! I myself just successfully FINISHED the repairing of a LOOSE STEERING WHEEL in my 1997 Ford E150 Van, and such is NO simple task by any means!! And, as such, any VIDEO conveying HOW the aforesaid is DONE would have to be very, very, DETAILED & LONG. This car mechanic clown's video is CURSORY, grossly-INCOMPLETE, & otherwise of little use to anybody entertaining the idea of actually DOING what he is SUPERFICIALLY talking about!!)
Hi, Peter. I did the same and the noise stopped. When I turn it back on and add gas while driving, it is heard again. Does it mean I have to replace the whole part or can it be repaired?
Pulling the fuse worked for about 6 months. I only put it back in for snowy conditions. Eventually it started making noise even with the fuse out so had the transfer case replaced and everything was normal again
Dude! You are saving me so much time figuring this out. Thank you! After loosening the 4 bolts, did your carbs come loose easily or did you have to persuade them a little? Mine seem stuck to the engine
The carb does come out easily. Might have to keep pulling the bolts by hand. The threads tend to catch. Make sure you get a carb kit that has gaskets for both sides. It is possible to reuse most of the gaskets if you're careful
Just did this on my 2000 XP. It sat indoors for 16 years. replaced all grey fuel and vent hoses. Freshened up the jet pump and cleaned the rave valves. What a job! Next time i think i will remove that pipe. That abyss eats everything. Was out this weekend, ran just like i remember. Special thanks to "Greyghost resurrection" and "Today we wrench".
@@peteranania7166 SeaDoo makes a tool, its basically a 13mm (i think) bent wrench. (about 45 degrees) To remove that bolt. I bent a cheapo wrench, it works and didn't use it. I will the next time. I think everything would have gone a lot smoother going back together. Things like getting the choke cable in, adjusted and tightened, throttle and oil pump in and adjusted etc. Just my thoughts, good luck Brother.
I've got the '05 WR450 and mine pops alot on decel other than that it runs great, any suggestions?. I heard going up a size or two on the pilot would help not sure if that would work
@@peteranania7166 I'm at 170 Main and 48 Pilot..Hmmm funny. I'm 3 turns out on my air screw I'm not going to go anymore but people have told me to go up on my pilot I'll have to keep researching. Changing the main won't do anything
Still at 170 main and just put in a brand new 52 pilot and still pops on decel only when pretty hot.. I put a new Lexx pipe on years ago ill pull that off and seal all the joints see what happens maybe there leaks...
This product is still available at Home Depot for $19/case. After 3 years, I've had some edges get deformed in my kitchen. I suspect that moisture has gotten underneath and cause swelling
where did you get the service manual, i cannot seem to find one? i tested mine white/ red and white/ green i get =191 for pickup coil. And for the stator white to white i get 0.2. by your book them stator numbers are too low. Wish i could find a book, thanks. also I'm using a Fluke
Well i figured mine out, I looked in gas seen water and dirty shit in bottom of the tank, cleaned it all out put new gas in it. still having problem, cleaned dirty exhaust power valves, still not running right, decided to clean carbs one more time just in case before changing the stator. took airbox off had it running, i noticed when giving it throttle i could see the brass grommet around the slide needle was coming up when accelerating, Here my dumb ass , when i took out the jets. the little plastic bowl piece holding the main jet in, i put it in upside down, so basically it was flooding. it took about 40 miles for it to start messing up, that's why i didn't think it could be the carbs, wow that lead me on a crazy ass goose chase for no reason. make sure they are put in the right way. thanks
Fascinating family history! My maternal grandfather Francis Gallant's father and grandfather settled in Dorchester and Chelsea. Sadly, we didn't get to know that side of the family as much.
Great tips. Like the pipe trick. In lieu a pipe you could also possibly use a Drum Brake Retaining Spring Washer Tool.( a screw driver with a cylinder at the end) to push in the retaining clip
Mine was doing the same thing but mine rhe motor sounded like it was eating its self. I've watched every video on RU-vid even yours, all the video were pointing at the tores system. So I ignored your video thinking it was tores for like 3 years. Then I came across this video one more time and thought what the hell tore it a part and the keyway was sheared off . But anyway it fixed it so thank you sir!
if your boat is TOO HIGH on the trailer dolly.. it will not go up... lower your jack down to the lowest it will go... I was jumping my solenoid to get it to go up.. so I could get it to go up.. and down.. lots of videos do nto tell you.. the boat repair place toldme.. and it works... but carry a jumper wire to power the solenoid to raise it up.. so you can get it onto the boat when you are getting it out of the water..
AT S and E checks, the riders are not allowed to come to a complete stop before the check signs. They can dab their foot or balance their bike for a few seconds but if they stop and put their foot down, they will be marked at the present flip card. It's at the discretion of the Head checker to decide if the rider is early. Some enduros use an 0 (Observation) check which has no score but is marked on the score card as a check mark in the space below. It's used to make sure the rider is on the correct part of the course.
My take and reminder for Emergency check workers, both the rider's score card AND back up sheet need the seconds denoted by person flipping the cards for riders to see as arriving. So, e.g. a rider # 13A arriving with flip card on minute 14 and at 15 seconds: rider scorecard would be written as "1415" , whereas back up sheet under minute 14 would be written as "13A 15". Always write clearly on both scorecard and back up sheet.
