Average speed are for rookies. If you wanna improve and get faster you should be looking at avg power and find ways to increase it. Either find a faster pack to ride with or pull more often. Theres no point getting 36-38kmh average on strava but your avg power only 140-150 watts ppl will laugh at u. It shows that you are just drafting / soft pedaling most of the time and no power at all. But the irony is, this type of riding is also called being efficient. In a race, you wanna use as little power as possible while staying in the pack. However if you are not racing and only train based on Avg speed, you will forever just be a drafter and whenever theres an attack or surge or break away you are most certainly gonna get dropped.

This is a good invention but problem is users do not know the proper mounting technic for tubeless compatible rims. The trick is to pinch both tire walls to touch the centre channel in the rim all around the rim except the final bit, then final bit can be hand fitted without any tools. If we still can't get it mounted by hand, schwalbe tubeless tire levers can hook into the left and right side with 2 levers and third level to push final bit in. Cheaper and more compact too. No more broken tire levers.

RETUL bike fit are almost useless these days. It's owned by Specialized, by the end of the fit the fitter will ALMOST introduce you to purchase a shoe pad which is pretty much useless in that sense. A shoe pad ?!?! Really ? Right off the bat in the start of the video it's so obvious her shoulders are tight and shrug with tension, her stems are the issue causing her numb palm/ fingers. . .

Not everyday you get to hear about a cyclist who is true to self and not afraid to speak up in public about her bike preferences and priorities. There’s no right or wrong, and everyone has the right to have their own opinions to the type of frame material, or the groupset that is good enough for them - so let’s just accept it with an open mind.

I usually really dig your interviews on custom bike builds. This one somehow missesthe mark and seems to be a lost opportunity to really promote custom bike builds. There are quite a bit of contradictory points conveyed in the video. The glaringly obvious one being the ride feel of the titanium. When the rider has claimed that she would never go back to carbon, she clearly is still riding a prova with carbon seat post. I do get instagram cyclist is a thing, but this video really does not do Prova Cycles justice. A few other points to correct: Prova Cycles are brother Mark and sister Kelly, and they are based in Melbourne, they may have started by sharing the workshop with Bastion Cycles but since 2022 their own amazing workshop. Mark has designed 3D printed headset, seat stay/seat tube junction, and drop out for his builds. The fork and cockpit have been combination of Enve fork plus whatever suits the rider's fancy for handlebar. The intergrale is essentially the speciale with integrated cockpit with internal routing. The paint job is another area of interest as Mark usually outsource the painting to Velo_Craft for the amazing paint jobs. Have a look at this article: escapecollective.com/behind-the-curtain-prova-cycles/ Also , please STOP perpetuating the marketing BS that titanium rides better! I have a Prova Mostro with titaninum seat tube with titanium seat post, and it does not ride any nicer than my Bastion nor my SL8. The buttery smooth ride feel is largely due to the function of the tyre size and tyre pressure which you run at. Last but not least, having a custom bike build is an experience, which is unique to the individual making the purchase. Personally I think you need to have a certain level of cycling experience before which the experience becomes exponentially better. The extent of bike fit would reply on the experience, fitness, and flexibility of the rider, and ultimately what you have are three floating points in space: hoods, saddle height and saddle setback from bottom bracket (with crank length). Once you have these points of reference, what a custom bike can achieve is way beyond off the shelf bikes. You could draw upon your riding experience to fine tube the handling characteristics of the bike (wheelbase, front centre, fork rake, headtube angle) and compliance (sloping top tube and saddle offset). These are the greater benefits of having a custom bike builds, in addition to the paintjobs and components. Anyway, just want to get these off my chest. Keep up with the good work and love the videos!

Thanks so much for the detailed feedback! I really appreciate your insights and passion for custom bike builds. You’ve raised some excellent points, especially regarding the nuances of titanium ride feel, Prova Cycles’ background, and the details about Mark and Kelly’s work. I agree that custom builds are deeply personal experiences that go beyond just materials - the fitting and geometry can really make a difference when fine-tuned to a rider’s preferences. You’re spot on about the importance of tire size and pressure in determining ride smoothness - it’s a critical factor that can sometimes get overshadowed by material discussions. Also, thank you for sharing the article; I’ll dive into it for a deeper understanding and to improve my future content. Your input helps me grow, and I’m glad you took the time to share it! I’ll work on getting these details just right. Cheers!

Good interview. A humble commuter with a proper commuter bike. She got a bike based on her riding style, which i assume mostly cafe rides and long distance weekend rides. Even if she spent a a bomb on it, at least it suits her and makes her happy. Its very respectable. Recently too many instagram road hoggers with their Sworks SL8/Dogma F and full PNS at Mandai and WCH. I have wrote in to LTA and TP about this and suggest that they set a minimum speed limit for cyclist on such roads and if they break the rule they should be banned from riding on the roads and only allowed on PCN.. still waiting for their reply

"I will never go back to carbon"... proceeds to have carbon rims, carbon forks, carbon seat-tube, carbon handlebar. 'Titanium bike' yet most of the bike by weight nor volume is not titanium. Why no titanium fork, handlebar? Maybe those comfort or ride quality she is experiencing is from all those carbon parts. There is no reason a composite framed bike would not perform the same as this 'titanium custom bike' as most of the ride quality is from the contact points anyway and tires; even fit can be replicated easily. There's nothing special that the titanium frame gives aside from that perceived exclusivity and if that gives you happiness and makes you ride, that's all that matters I guess... but let's not overhype it as if it has magical properties.

its probably ownership bias to justify the high price paid. Ive ridden steel, titanum etc & no reason to ride anything than carbon, eg. the canyon ultimate or sworks tarmacs are very comfortable yet stiff laterally, something steel or titanium cant ever match. If i want best of all, ill put 32mm tires on the Ultimate
