I dont know if these questions are too elitist or hardcore but this is genuine curiosity. Could you ask interviewees what their training mileage per week is like, what kph rolling/avg speeds, and if they do any structured workouts? the material aspect of a bike and its parts is cool and fun but i think some focus on how it's ridden would be great.

Ehhh bro.. Why you keep interviewing instagram commuters? We need you to interview real road cyclist leh. The best interview you have given us was with Daryl Sean Chan, followed by the 2 Factor national racers and the Ang Moh Crit Racer. The rest are just mere commuters flexing their expensive bikes. We need interviews that can provide valuable insights into training, diet and bike skills. If not, at least an interview that shares a person's interesting journey and stories. Yes majority of us are not pro and will never be pro, but as a cyclist who loves to occasionally smash in our group rides, we could all benefit from real wisdom from real experienced cyclist. For future content, you should consider interviewing people like Bike fitters, Coaches (there are a few well known ones) , and cyclists who actively race in Crits, Audex or join oversea Races. Heck, even groups like Metador, Crank Dynasty, Quantum etc have many really strong riders (who actually trains) can share their expertise if you work hard enough to get them on your show! These people would provide us with more wisdom then a little XMM who just went for a bike fit and wants to change wheels. Yes yes, I get it lah, your channel initially gained popularity by interviewing people with cool expensive bikes and gears, focusing on the aesthetics, during Covid-19 period but I think the cycling community have reached a point where these expensive bikes are easily accessible and most working adults could afford it. So theres really nothing special about them. Unless its an extraordinarily rare or special bike, or a bike that have never been featured on ur channel before. Otherwise, how long can you only depend on interviewing people based on their bike? There are only so many cool expensive bike you can interview until you run out of them. U already featured so many Dogma, S-Works, Trek etc. I think its time you should interview the actual cyclist, serious cyclist, instead of just for the sake of the bike

Saddle tilt is fine for her. Usually an excessive tilt causes a number of issues like hand numbness (tingling fingers). However, looking at how small and light she is, she probably gets off scot-free from having that much tilt. Long story short, different strokes for different folks. Cheers
@guantisengkun4342
@guantisengkun4342 2 месяца назад
It depends the style of riding. Every rider have to make a compromise in terms of fit. Whether want comfort or want fast. Tilting the saddle down is to rotate the pelvis when being in an aggressive aero position and for better engagement of the core, glutes and hamstring, but hands will suffer. For myself, if i don’t tilt my saddle down, I wil get lower back ache on one side. So ill choose hand numbness over back ache.
@ariffau
@ariffau 2 месяца назад
@@guantisengkun4342 sounds great but have you tried a comprehensive bike fit to also tackle your hand numbness?
@guantisengkun4342
@guantisengkun4342 2 месяца назад
@@ariffau Oh Ive done many bike fits over the years. I think Bike fitting is a good starting point for people who dont know what they are doing. Once you understand how your body's biomechanics work (through trial and errors), its not necessary anymore. Most people who go for fit, is to optimize comfort on the bike. More often then not, these are the same people who never go to the gym to train their upper body strength and core. So when you wanna fit for comfort, the fitter will fit u based on comfort, not based on efficiency and power. Whichever fitter who says they can fit you for comfort and optimize power, is blowing smoke. Secondly, what is comfortable for you then, may not be comfortable or efficient for you later on as you progress and become fitter. When I started structured training (indoor trainer + gym work + race simulation rides with fast groups), I realize that my pedaling techniques change quite alot, hence over time, my saddle height and tilt needs to be adjusted again. As you start doing strength training and you activate all your "sleeping" muscles, the way you pedal also becomes different, then you need to adjust your fore/aft position to utalize more muscle, for more power delivery and after strength/core training, I can slam my stem fully and not get any neck or shoulder pain after 120km and still feel fresh the next day. Im not saying im a pro or anything but Ive made significant improvements to my performance since day one just by doing structured training and gym. I had $3000 to spare back then, instead of buying a new wheel, I bought the wahoo kickr core and hired a local coach (for bike training and gym) and I have increased my FTP by 30 watts in just a month.

@@isaac74186 not at all. I ride a pinarello myself. But this show's purpose is solely to show off expensive bikes. after each question he asks 'how much' and then he is impressed. almost no discussion about riding trips/training etc... the first chapter is literally price. I agree, you are 100% right to spend money on things you want/ride. But my main critique is on the format of the series. why not do interviews like this while riding?? then you actually can see how the bikes behave etc.
